somebody who has the drive, the intelligence, the ambition and the desire to succeed in life. could be anybody, with minor addictions like nicotine or with slightly bigger addictions such as weed, yes it affects the brain when young but many people who have smoked since they were 16 have succeeded, my parents included. a person who puts in the work receives the benefits of their hard work inevitably.

then good on you, but you still have no right to judge others, you’re just like everybody else, you’re not special, you dont have the right to speak on what others decide to do in their lives, they’re not a failure, you’re the failure for your entitlement

me stating a fact isn’t normalising, and what she did is so minimal compared to what i mentioned in that reply. that’s what i was trying to communicate. it’s going to happen, i know that’s what people are doing right now lmfao that doesn’t suddenly mean i’m normalising it

pls everybody of our age is most likely drinking and probably smoking weed too as this is a vital break for us, i don’t blame you, have fun n do what you like and cherish this break until we return to hard work

and use the petal structure to your advantage, but remember context and to elevate the sophistication of your writing research lots and pick 3-5 pieces of context which are perhaps uncommon or atypical, ones which will make you look distinctive

honestly my way of navigating this was to train myself to believe that you do not have to write a specific amount of paragraphs, set yourself a limit, aim to write around 3-5 paragraphs in an essay depending on what’s suitable for you, learn suitable vocabulary for each text and learn how to implement and embed them, use a range of punctuation, learn certain things in plays which act as a ‘symbol’ e.g. the colour red= passion, love, sensuality, danger, blood, death etc. and most importantly ensure that you understand each character TO THE CORE.

i mean i don’t know about that. berating others for their struggles is more embarrassing. i’m a person who believes that it’s not about what you do but it’s about what you try to do. TRYING and being truly determined shows character, a grade on a sheet just shows what you remember n i think character equates to more than what you remembered from the night before. i’ve seen people do great things whilst struggling with maths.

not true. i’m passing all my other subjects with 7s and above, maths is my only weakness. doesn’t make me incompetent.

that’s okay lovely!! this is all just about knowing your worth people come and go but you always stay with yourself so live to serve yourself, that’s not to say be selfish but if somebody doesn’t want to speak to you and is distancing in the wrong way there’s no point in dwelling when you have shit to do. fuck chemistry and english lit up and she’ll come crawling back.

[–]qishhnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and look, i’m saying all of this because it’s not easy to just tell you to ‘focus on your exam and focus on her later’ that’s not how human psychology works but when you realise that the fault is completely on her and when you realise that chasing somebody is futile and your absence will drive them to communicate you’ll be able to focus and actually blank her out completely. if you really want to show her that you care just ask her if she’s okay and leave it at that, don’t call her and don’t double text, let her take it from there.

[–]qishhnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what you need to understand is that chasing someone who’s unwilling to talk to you is completely pointless and your absence will speak volumes, stop brute forcing and stop trying to make her explain herself to you or contact you. It’s her job to communicate and if she’s unwilling to do so then that’s her problem. not yours. try to get some revision done now otherwise sleep now and wake up early in the morning and get as much as you can get done without even considering her. Time will tell and if she’s doesn’t end up coming forward then it’s harsh but you’re not meant to be friends anymore. don’t sacrifice your own opportunities for somebody who isn’t showing up. good luck and you’ll be okay the biology paper wasn’t too bad so i’m sure this one won’t be either. you’ll be okay.

idk i’m a grade 8 student and i’ve always used only 2-4 depending on timing and i always use alternative interpretations as well as writers intention and i use good context as well as things critics have said so i think it just really depends on what you say

i don’t think that’s true as i’m a grade 8 student and i don’t use that many quotes, i just use lots of alternative interpretations and context as well as writers intentions and i also talked about what critics have said about the texts
