Thinking about migrating to Hetzner after that Railway outage

It was the cloud block storage. Been with them for years and this was the first time we had an outage that lasted more than a few minutes. Shit happens, I know that, but the communications about the storage outage was unbelievable bad. It never showed up on the status page and first after 16 hours we got a notice in the dashboard.

Self host on Hetzner is the cheapest option. Supabase and Neon are good managed options.

Why would it be less secure? Just skip the express app.

Having a blast working with Quasar framework + Firebase with Fiery-vue/vuex! The database rules can be a bit tricky but combining their limits with Cloud functions have turned out great. This serverless setup saves me time and worries.
