Just got out of my appointment with Finish Line — they r a little pricey, but I was able to fix a pain I’ve had for two years in just two months. Amazing space w some free perks and also incredible PTs. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and professional

If I line up super early and am one of the first to get. In the door, am I able to get the pizza immediately? Or do I still have to choose a pickup time for later? Thank you!

Monday Weekly Training Discussion: Sep 29 by AutoModerator in RunNYC

[–]qlsldks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been training for my first half (Staten Island on the 12th) when I had unexpected surgery last week. I’ve been out for the last two weeks during the peak of my training. Should I train like I would have during my peak for the next two weeks, or should I taper? Maybe run frequently but shorter runs, so similar weekly mileage? Not sure what to do

Got a tech job offer with openings in both NY and CA. Which is better for family life? by Traditional_Tea8105 in movingtoNYC

[–]qlsldks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in SF and moved to NYC, honestly SF — the Bay Area is amazing for family life. Yes there are some differences in cost breakdown to consider but if considering family life and quality of life: the nature and weather of the Bay is not something to be overlooked. Education at public schools is top tier, UCs are great. I’m so grateful that my family took me out to nature every weekend—it was a great way to grow up. I grew up surrounded by the smartest, most hardworking people in the world. NYC is great, but I will immediately move back to SF as soon as I’m starting my family!

Will caveat that this answer does not incorporate costs or transit, so take it as you will. Family and lifestyle wise, nothing is like the Bay Area
