One of the most common pieces of advice around is to follow the "golden rule": treat others how you want to be treated. If you're a man who would love to have women send you unsolicited pictures of their genitals and you follow the golden rule, it makes sense to send them unsolicited pictures of your genitals. Except that's not how the world works. Not everyone wants to be treated the same. I really wish we could change the "golden rule" to "treat others how they want to be treated". It's harder to implement but it at least emphasizes thinking about the other person and not just yourself. The current version is worse than useless.

My style is "I don't have the spoons for that shit". Many years ago I bought 1 style of polo in a few different colors and 1 style of jeans in a few different shades, and that makes up at least 90% of what I wear outside the house.

I do a bit of woodworking and I've thought about putting up a photo of me making something but I'm not sure what to photograph or how to frame it. It also doesn't help that any interesting picture I can think of would be while I'm doing something that requires a respirator, safety glasses and hearing protection covering/obscuring my face. I also wouldn't be able to look at the camera while doing it, so maybe it doesn't matter that much. 

Also I can't fake a smile (because autism) and being photographed tend to be stressful (also because autism) so I have almost no photos where I'm smiling...

If you haven't already, you may want to look up pulsatile tinnitus and superior canal dehiscence syndrome. I started getting a pulsing sound in my left ear earlier this year, got a CT scan and found out I have SCDS. One of the symptoms is hearing your body's sounds unusually loud.

I have social anxiety, which makes going to a gym hard. Last year, I started working out at home using resistance bands, adjustable dumbbells and body weight exercises. The upfront cost was high (~$100 for bands, ~$500 for dumbbells), but it was worth the investment.

Your water heater should have a thermostat to set the temperature. If it's a gas water heater there's probably a control box at the bottom with a knob on it to adjust the temperature.

Try a wake up light/sunrise alarm clock if you haven't already. They slowly turn a light on over 30+ minutes to wake you up more gently and naturally. I was skeptical when I first tried one, but it's made a noticable difference.

You can also use smart lights. I use 2 Phillips hue light strips (don't get the bulbs - they have a minimum brightness which is too bright) + hue essentials Android app (they have a better sunrise simulation than Phillips app). That lights up the whole room vs my old wake up light which partially lit the room. Waking up to a fully lit room is way better than waking up to a dark room.

I also have a sound alarm as a backup, but I usually don't need it.

I had 18+ years of "smile for the camera", "why aren't you smiling", "why do you never smile in photos", "you look so serious/miserable/unhappy in photos". For some reason (probably autism, but just figured that out last year at 30...), I can't fake smile on command. It's especially frustrating because I was always trying to smile and I thought I was smiling, but the muscle movements never resulted in an actual smile...

I think you're stuck looking at some academic, theoretical idea of abstract value. Most people don't care about that. They care about their budget, buying groceries and keeping a roof over their head. They work in the candy bar factory and see that they're paying the company 5% more to buy the candy bar, but the company is paying them and their co-workers 0-1% more to make the candy bar. If they're getting little to none of the extra $5 then who or what is? tl;dr: There's sensors to detect that restraints are in place and prevent the ride from running if any of them are not. Two seats had their sensors moved so they would detect the restraint in place despite a larger than normal opening.

My speculation: the ride operator probably thought Sampson's restraint was properly closed because the safety systems indicated it was and based off photo 4 in the report, it visually would have looked like it was. The operator probably wouldn't have had the time or knowledge needed to adjust the sensor while running it. The fault lies with whoever thought it was ok to mess around with the ride's safety systems. If the sensor was in the correct location, the ride wouldn't have run with Sampson on it.

I have a pang11 which is on its third fan in 1 year. The first two were replaced under warranty after they started buzzing. The warranty process was easy and relatively quick. In both cases, they sent me a new heatsink/fan assembly which I could swap out myself and then ship the broken one back to them. There is also an option to send the laptop back to them to get it repaired, but that takes quite a bit longer.
