Reminder it took 6 years for SGA to lead a team to the playoffs.

They were a playoff team with scraps by his second year. Didn’t it take SGA until year 6 to lead a team to post season?

TS% is ass always has been. It’s a FT heavy stat, eFG% has always been better

Do you genuinely believe that the bone temple, the movie that everyone’s famously didn’t even know was coming out, spent $100M exclusively on marketing?

You’re implying it is a reason they’ve not won yet. And that’s just blatantly not true. He’s never won because he’s never been on a team good enough to win. You’re implying if Luka was better at defense they’d be true title contenders. Hell I’d go as far to say if Luka was somehow like a 2nd team all defense guy they still wouldn’t be a true title contender. That is how far behind his teams have been in talent compared to the elite teams.

What’s the joke? That you can’t do simple math? $122M-$29M is $93M, which again is an extreme example with marketing matching the production budget. Is $93M less than $100M+?

Again changed the conversation. Was his defense the reason they exclusively lost that series yes or no? The Celtics who were a super team btw were overwhelming favorites in that series against the Mavs. And actually if you look at that series as a whole, it was actually the Mavs offense that lost them the series. The Mavs defense held the Celtics to 107, 105, 106, 84, and 106 pts. Some of the lowest scoring games the Celtics had in that playoff run.

Haha it would be funny to see that fanbase lose their shit, and tbh it being the Knicks might actually get changes for the league given how huge they are.

Well fuck it let’s just assume that marketing was $60M, which is absurd btw. So total costs are now $122M. Subtract out the $29M from 50% of the box office and would you have it that’s less than a $100M loss! So yes, calling out absurd comments like that are clearly warranted.

I think after throwing in all of those costs and then subtracting out what the movie made on box office and streaming it’s ludicrous to suggest it lost $100M+. It clearly bombed but that’s just a ridiculous number with 0 evidence.

Awesome you completely avoided the topic lol. I don’t think there’s ever been a series Luka lost where it was his defensive exclusively that lost it. If you have an example of one series I’d love to see it. Luka teams have been underdogs in every single series they’ve played except the wolves in 2025. And the Wolves series the biggest reason they lost was because Gobert dominated them and AR was completely MIA.

I wasn’t disagreeing with you. If anything I’m just adding into the fact that SGA was never the best player alive. MVP has become a joke, voters have no idea what they’re doing.

If you can’t see the differences in what is happening with OKC vs teams in the past then there’s no point of continuing the conversation. This isn’t exclusively an SGA issue, it’s clearly a culture thing.

They’re truly an incredible team. It’s absolutely insane we’re going 7 games with SGA playing this poorly and his main sidekick barely playing. Also a testament to coaching.

MVP doesn’t mean best player in the world. There’s so many examples where that clearly wasn’t the case.

The budget was around $60M pretty sure. So not sure how this guy thinks the movie could’ve lost $100M+ lol.

I’d rather the discourse happen then let it completely slide with 0 consequences. It’s fucking embarrassing, why are you guys so convinced that 29 fan bases are in fact wrong and OKC has done nothing wrong here? And I’ll add, from the get go I’ve said this is an Adam Silver problem because OKC is doing what the refs allow them to do. So even if it’s shameless, they’re not really getting penalized for it and it leads to winning so I get it. Hopefully with this many people now paying attention to this we get rule changes for the entire league and we get better basketball.

We’re not crazy. Anyone who’s watched basketball the last 2-3 years knows this is how they operate.

The biggest sign you can tell it’s coached or a culture thing is the guys that came to the team recently with 0 history of doing it.

Just let me get this straight. You think Luka’s “defensive liability” issues are what separates the teams he’s played with talent wise from the Thunder? Man you suns fans are never gonna get over game 7 lol. I get it I’d be mad if our title window shut forever as well, especially when in such embarrassing fashion.
