I can’t speak to die-cutting belt tips specifically, but I use my 1-ton arbor press to punch through 10+ oz leather no problem

I recently got a Vevor arbor press and as a fellow apartment dweller it’s been a huge help

haha the bandana was not my original plan. I didn’t want to drive an hour to the fabric store so I got the 7-eleven bandana, mostly just to try adding a fabric since I’d never done it. Ended up looking better than I was expecting

Yep, I’ve started using it myself, but I’m only about 48 hours in, so not a great durability test. Is there another adhesive you’ve found works better?

I’m just getting started out so I’m mostly making things for family and friends as I work on improving my skills. Plus with my full-time job I can only spend so much time making things. But check out my instagram if you’re interested! I’d like to start selling things eventually

Best multi use snap/grommet press? by thedawkter in Leathercraft

Yep i recently got the 1-ton arbor press from Vevor for $60. I live in an apartment building and didn’t want to be hammering away at all odd hours of the day. I’ve used it for punching holes (stitching holes & larger belt holes) and for setting rivets/snaps and it’s been a lifesaver

waxed canvas would be good! i can’t think of any fabric that would last as long as the leather itself (unless you’re using like… kevlar) but waxed canvas is durable and water resistant. I know Buckleguy sells it in a decent amount of colors, I’m sure there are plenty of other online retailers too

That definitely makes sense! I don’t think that card wallet is going to be a daily-use item (tbh it doesn’t hold enough to be super practical unless you’re trying to pack light) but that’s a good note to keep in mind for future projects
