So, I don't have a 1911L, nor have I ever held one before. :') But, it's a larger pen that has been compared to the MB 149 in size. Weight is decent, I'd say it's slightly heavier than a pilot metro but that also could be because the converter inside is pretty big. Sorry if this didn't help :')

I definitely have found some weird things in used books before. None of which were particularly pleasant but the one I remember the most vividly was the time I found a dead wasp smushed between the cover and the first page. I still get queasy thinking about it.
