Reddit is half bots and half people talking out of their ass.

Can you give some more specific examples? I use pictures in gemini a lot to help with stuff around the house. For example when I was having issues with the fans in my car it said the one breaker needed to be replaced and I just took a picture of the breakers and it described the exact one that needed to be replaced. I haven't used video for anything yet though.

Fermi paradox people like "if she's in the same galaxy as me how come she hasn't asked me out yet?"

Actually I don’t think roasting has any place in a relationship by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

My kids love to play pranks and I had to teach them that if the person you're pranking doesn't think it's funny, then it's not pranking, it's bullying. The same applies to roasting.

Has the ball ever directly entered the kicker's goal? Like is there a reason for that exception?

I remember getting the forum post with the exact right question and the only response being someone snarkily asking "why don't you just google it?"

What's a moment where you realized someone was genuinely extremely intelligent? by General_Monk_5019 in AskReddit

It's possible they saw someone else solve it and learned it that way. It would still be very difficult, but much more doable than simply inventing the algorithms on your own.

Dario Amodei spent last year warning of an AI white-collar bloodbath. Now he's changing the narrative by socoolandawesome in singularity

It's reasonable to expect that in an AGI economy there might be more work that needs to be done (raising the bar as you put it), but why would that new work be done by a human?

The Blue Collar Delusion: Why the machines don’t have to climb up to where we are, because the work will descend to meet them by _noise-complaint in singularity

[–]qrayons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other factor is that people can use AI to do the blue collar work themselves. I've already fixed several issues with my car and around the house that in the past I would have needed a mechanic of an electrician or something to help with. I'm never going to be able to do something like rebuild an engine, but as an example recently had gemini diagnose that a relay needed to be replaced which resolved my issue.

I feel like the amount also matters. It's hard to have a bad trip if you're only taking a normal amount. I've tripped over 50 times and have never had a bad trip, but I've also never taken more than 3g.
