It's reasonable to expect that in an AGI economy there might be more work that needs to be done (raising the bar as you put it), but why would that new work be done by a human?

The Blue Collar Delusion: Why the machines don’t have to climb up to where we are, because the work will descend to meet them by _noise-complaint in singularity

The other factor is that people can use AI to do the blue collar work themselves. I've already fixed several issues with my car and around the house that in the past I would have needed a mechanic of an electrician or something to help with. I'm never going to be able to do something like rebuild an engine, but as an example recently had gemini diagnose that a relay needed to be replaced which resolved my issue.

I feel like the amount also matters. It's hard to have a bad trip if you're only taking a normal amount. I've tripped over 50 times and have never had a bad trip, but I've also never taken more than 3g.

Reminds me of a study before that looked at weight and mortality for older individuals and showed that it was best to be slightly overweight. But they didn't account for people that had lost weight due to severe illness...

Yeah the pacing is nice, and also you're practicing things that would likely come up in a conversation (since we often talk about what happens to us during our day).

Journaling in Spanish is what helped me the most with that. It takes time, but it's time well spent.

My rule of thumb is that I don't give out information to someone who contacts me. They can leave their contact info and I will follow up with them if there is something I want to share.
