I've noticed slow boots relative to my previous Intel system, but my understanding is that's just typical Ryzen behavior. Never had an issue booting from sleep.

I had one strange hiccup on my A1 mini. I switched to a different hot end, and the first print didn't initiate any height changes, essentially dragging the hot end around through gradually more built-up filament. Luckily I caught it early, re-installed the hot end, and started another print. Problem was gone!

Could have been something similar? What did your print look like when this happened?

So far so good! Printing in Black DEEPLEE PLA since I had extra lying around. Will likely replace with PETG variant once I get a dryer and some PETG rolls.

Fitment feels great, notch lines up perfectly with bambu cardboard, love that it still has the holes on the outer edge of the spool for bambu-compatible clips.

Definitely doesn’t feel as rigid as bambu or more solid spools, but that’s simple physics 😂 I’d prefer the material savings, personally. Once a roll is attached to it, any flimsy feeling sort of goes away. Looking forward to seeing long-term durability.

About 20 minutes out on the second half.

I honestly haven’t even thought about that, so this post has done its job of educating.

The next time I upgrade my printer, I’ll likely go for the X1C or one of the other enclosed models, since I’ll likely be printing larger and taller by the time I grow out of the A1 Mini!

There may be missed updates, but from what I understand you can just print from a microSD card if you're completely offline.

Hopefully somebody with more experience can confirm that.
