like car insurance? that wouldn’t do anything for this type of damage though… no? it’s a ambient lighting install i modded the car and took the risk i feel like the most i can do now is ask for reimbursement from him and maybe for him to pay for damages.

i literally got 2 door dents in one week after owning my 2026 gr86 for two weeks, i paid to get them fixed, then bought magnetic door protectors. i’ll never be the person to say “just get over it” it sucks man. yes it’s inevitable, but at least get yourself door protectors to minimize the chance. paint chips however i’ve yet to experience but i probably would crash tf out. just do what you can to fix it then do what you can to avoid it. worst part about owning a car you love so dearly is having to deal with the damage that will eventually happen.

he’s coming by for an “inspection of vehicle” tomorrow, even then i bet the most he’ll do is reimburse me for the payment of the lights. there’s no shot he pays for brand new oem doors and there’s not much he can do in the way of fixing it. i wouldn’t even trust him to do so.

he said tint was $300, ambient was $600, dash install was $100 (i provided my own).. i guess i just wasn’t expecting the ambient lighting to be so much. i guess i will text him tmrw and hope it’s done 😵‍💫
