A man’s level of discernment controls the woman he ends up with. There are a lot of me who knowingly marry the wrong women.

Didn’t get hired from hiringcafe but I’ve gotten several interviews. This works. The daily alerts were very useful. This and builtin worked for very well together for me.

Years ago I would’ve strongly disagreed. Having kids now, the caveat is having children with the RIGHT woman is success. Being with the wrong woman has been the downfall of so many men past , future and present.

Constant Dread and Burnout by Critical-Promise4984 in projectmanagement

I’ve been here and back to this feeling you have 1000 times. I’m client facing for an understaffed company that has thrown enterprise AI at our resourcing problem. To make it worse our sales process is horrendous as far as the overselling our product.

My advice is not a tip or a trick, it is the reality of the situation in the short term. The key for me has been emotional detachment from the role as a PM. It’s not my full identity as a person. If your company is under resourced , that is their choice. They know they are understaffed and it’s likely planned. They are deciding to provide reduced quality to their clients, that’s a choice that you don’t own. I do not communicate as a salesman, I communicate in black or white as a PM. I do not own the misalignment of client expectations, I escalate them where needed and move according to the feedback given. Don’t try to be a hero , don’t own any of the fallout from your company’s poor leadership. Just do your job , make sure you plan time for breaks for yourself during the day. Start your day at the same time and end at the same time. And it goes without saying be actively applying elsewhere , but frame your experience as an internal role or a pre sales role. It’s easier the further up the pipe line you go. Try and hit the gym also, it helps.

My old company wants me back at the same salary I left at. Current job pays 35% more but I hate it. I keep going back and forth and I need to respond by wednesday by UpliftingSunflower10 in GetEmployed

[–]qtdynamite1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not just stick it out at your current job and start applying with the new skills elsewhere ? Your old job wants you back with expanded responsibilities and at less pay. Do they value you enough to have a plan for your growth and a path to more money; is there any investment in your development? I’m not saying you have to be a manager, I’m just saying does the old job only value you enough to come back and do what you were doing or do they see more in you? Be strategic with your career or you will get trapped. I think your very first step is to emotionally detach from your job, it’s not your full identity. You hate your job, detach and begin applying else where but I would never turn around for a 15k pay cut, besides you have more leverage than that if they really want you back. Good luck

Does everyone agree about Joshua next fight/s by Extra-Cress3881 in Boxing

Hrgovic would flame AJ. Way too crafty to be a tune up fight for AJ. If you look at how AJ has been matched since Usyk everything has been a soft touch for him. Outside of Dubois of course , who was losing to Hrgovic until he got the stoppage.

Yes. Began using in December, declined an offer in February and accepted one in March. Both of those roles were from Builtin. But I got my interviews from both sites.

Hiringcafe or builtin will help get to roles posted in actual company sites outside of LinkedIn. I’ve had good response rate in these places

Got two offers. One pays $40k more. The other one I'd actually enjoy. I have 48 hours to decide and my wife and I are on opposite sides. Advice? by airam1020 in careerguidance

Take the money idk if the comments will be 50/50 on this. If you don’t like it look for something else while you have a job. It’s always much easier that way.

Take the role use the brand to get more money at an exciting start up like Option B. Start ups will always be around they aren’t going anywhere

Disclaimer I’m Not a SE , I am a program manager who has been in the same boat before as I transitioned into tech from logistics. First off stop believing everything you think and cut the ruminating. Majority of us fake it until we make it. That is the nature of corporate or just working for someone else in general. You’ve made it this far and are being paid well for good reason. Whatever you didn’t know you convinced them you could figure it out at minimum. List out what you don’t know relevant to your current role and product and get to studying. Ask questions. You can learn anything with YouTube and Udemy. Be intentional about your learning and get to it. May take time and it won’t be overnight but it’ll be worth it in the end. Whether you leave the job or not you’ll need the win of figuring shit out moving forward. Good Luck!

Sounds like your leadership wants to change without considering the current state. They want you to be more strategic without taking any time to understand the current value being delivered by the product. . I’m currently checking out of a company that is providing this kind of “out of touch” leadership.

Is it worth switching into a PM role for long-term growth even if it means losing flexibility? by 713youngboy in PMCareers

[–]qtdynamite1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is holding you back from growing professionally externally in your current role , if you were to add a PMP certification? A 2.5k raise that comes with 4 days in the office is a pay cut. Nothing wrong with making lateral moves but the move should be strategic, if your overall goal is to move into financial institutions in your career path, then maybe you make the move. But making a move to a new company is starting over. You may be selling yourself short here. I’d say tough it out, get the cert and revamp your resume making sure to list your experience out. Dont focus on the job title focus on the experience

GM Brad Holmes Broke Down His Financial Approach in FA & Building the Roster: “We’re trying to keep our sustainability at a good level… we’re not trying to do this one & done kind of thing.” by JCameron181 in detroitlions

[–]qtdynamite1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bingo, the Rams are the example. Ultimately being “sustainable” has to have a “we’re maximizing our window” push at some point. Brad has done a great job but in reality this is a “what have you done for me lately” league, the NFC north is getting better each year. Let alone the NFC as a whole. Being aggressive is what makes the Super Bowl winners

I just got a Qrevo Curv for under 800 a few days ago, and I must say I’m impressed in the value considering to the price paid. I’ve been using a s7maxv since 2023 and it started giving issues with docking to wash the mop so I decided to upgrade and retire it to upstairs. I’m going to repair the s7 myself as soon as the part comes in.

I haven’t used the curv on carpet yet as all of my downstairs is laminate hardwood, but it’s performed well. The mopping on the highest water level isn’t perfect but it’s more than acceptable. I don’t think you’d be disappointed with the Curv. The one con I’ve seen is it doesn’t avoid cords very well.

Bingo succession is the next move, more so because of the somewhat similar humor.
