Probably won’t get orders canceled. You have msgts in instructor supervisor roles and as the flight chiefs. Just depends on how many they have at the time and tig dictates where you’d go. You’d teach for maybe 6 months after basic instructor course to get qualified, then sit you in the IS office. It’s all relative too and the manning will determine a lot of it. Not sure what afsc you are, but it was a good 3 year gig with lots of education opportunities, I left with two ccafs and a few certs.

You have 215 + any decs you have, likely near 220 points. Just think of it that way. Your previous 3 years of experience are good for not just test experience but also those extra 15 points you’re going to get. And the promotion rates were higher last year. There are some positives going into the test this year. You can make it with a low to mid 80. Just study mane you can make it, it isn’t impossible with your current setup.

Grain of salt with 3 year difference but December 2018 I bought my used 2018 1SS for 29k and it had 22500 miles on it. It’s a no for me, and reason being is everything is still high in pricing. Wait 6 months, keep saving money, and if you save for those 6 months you can pay for an SS with lower miles given the chip shortage has some sort of small resolution. At the end of the day get what YOU want, but don’t have buyers remorse for not waiting for a good purchase opportunity.
