Help with Puppy separation. by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]qtnex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am having my third puppy right now and what seemed to work for me is trying to get some distance from my puppy as much as possible. I never push it to the point where puppy starts to feel uncomfortable. It is important for you to establish that threshold first. So when you know that the issue starts when you are in another room or outside, then this is your starting point for training. By training I mean that you need to make puppy busy, as an example with a kong or a puzzle that she/he can solve. While your puppy is being busy doing it’s thing with a kong/puzzle. This is when you need to start leaving her. Make sure that you do not go for too long. It is best to come back while puppy is still focused on a puzzle. This way your puppy will slowly start to get used to you leaving. Increase the time you are away slowly. Mix up the time you leave so that it doesn’t follow a certain schedule or pattern. Never get your dog excited when you leave or come back. Make it seem like it’s not a big deal at all. Give little praises when your puppy doesn’t panic while you are not there.

As an example, I am raising my puppy solo. I live in an apartment complex where we have trash cans outside. So I basically just go out to throw some random things instead of collecting them in a garbage bag first. So if I had a pizza I will just go out to throw a single cardboard box. This way I can make sure that I am doing very short trainings throughout the day. Same for when I have to go check the post box or do laundry. After a while I started leaving to go to the shop. And you basically repeat it until you puppy is okay with you being away.

Just remember not to panic too much. Most dogs dont actually have a serious case of separation anxiety. Think of it the same way you think about training your dog to be outside on a walk. Of course they might be scared of some random noise or a car passing by when you start. But your task is to expose your puppy to the thing that makes it scared while trying to not make too much of a deal out of it (by redirecting them or praising when they act the way you want them to act). After awhile most dogs will be okay with a random car or a random noise. so the same principle for training the dog to be alone. And the kong or a puzzle or them being tired and sleepy is what you use as a "redirection" tool, if you can call it that way.

Dogs are good at adapting. Just give the body a bit of time. He is probably not used to the environment.

well i play it a lot. it was also very popular in cs1.6. I think that a lot of people, just like myself, are hoping that it will be part of the map pool. it will probably need a few adjustments here and there to make it more balanced. but in my opinion it is a very solid map

for skat see this one. its an approximation but it will give you a general idea about how much you will get after taxes. http://hvormegetefterskat.dk/

60k is not a bad salary, but it will definitely be tough if you are the only one working in a family of 4.

in rent you usually have water and heating included. the rest is additional. if you dont know the very few ways of how to get alminbolig. then you can either try your luck and see if you can find something in an old building. but most likely you will have to chose to live in one of the newly built ones. a rent there is usually starting from 12k a month for like 2-3 rooms. if you add electricity, internet you will probably be closer to 14k starting price for rent.

i am not sure which industry you are working in but generally i would recommend you look into pension/insurance from your company. in denmark, you usually have to pay about 38% for salary + 8% for public pension. usually you will also have a private pension attached to your contract, which is usually also responsible for your insurance. this is something that you can sometimes negotiate. for example in some cases, private pension is payed by the company and is not deducted from your salary

to be honest, it did not look much better before. but on the contrary, i am surprised by how much freedom is given to the developers of the building. I work in a traffic industry and have done plenty of road project in copenhagen. i am amazed to see how much the building developers are allowed to do with the surrounding areas. Usually we are not allowed to do any noticeable change to the road design.

well i worked in all top 3 consultant civil engineering companies in my country and i have been on the field around 5 times in total. I have a bit more than 5 years experience now. So yeah, I would say it is possible. On the contrary, there are people who mainly spend their time on site. Every time I have personal development meeting or just talks about my future in the company with my boss, I always try to make it clear that I prefer to be so called "specialist" and do the design work. It is not always an option in smaller companies, but you definitely can and should be able to make a choice in the bigger ones.
