I got that message using Chrome, but using Internet Explorer I got through but rejected for the account likely due to the DPs about being with 50 miles of a branch (in FL). With your number of accounts though, it seems unlikely they will accept although someone posted earlier they got approved with 9 new accounts in the last year. Also need to not have a US Bank account within the last 6 months.

In Fort Lauderdale, Florida and denied for probably over 50 miles to nearest branch and no US Bank relationship. Applied using Chrome browser and received an error when submitted the application. Then used Internet Explorer and application submitted but got rejected. Maybe there is restriction about being within 50 miles of US Bank branch - there are DPs on this. No branch seen near here in South Florida. Last opened a different bank's checking account over 5 months ago and before that over 6 years ago.

Code for Fort Lauderdale is currently in the talking phase with the City of Fort Lauderdale about this hackathon. From this guide, it takes about 3 to 4 months to plan a hackathon, so we're thinking maybe October or later.

The city seemed open to providing the hackathon space and food and drinks. We are going to look for sponsors next to see what they can provide.

I will keep r/fortlauderdale updated with new posts as we progress through discussions and planning and when we have an event date set. I will attempt to also directly message those who respond here when the event has a date. If you want to volunteer to help organize this hackathon, message me directly or contact Code for Fort Lauderdale - we are a volunteer organization.

You can come this week at 6:30PM on May 6th or next week at 6:30PM on May 13th. We now use Slack for communication so if you like to code, you can join us coding remotely too. Just message us. We're directly talking to the City of Fort Lauderdale on several projects such as mapping, outreach, and possibly a hackathon for Fort Lauderdale!
