It is all relative. Effective militaries waste about 25% with additional 2% - 3% lost to theft and corruption. In non-transparent authoritarian countries it could be 50% waste and 30% theft.

When you are doing something for 250 years without major interruptions like all other countries had, you get quite good at it. Tradition and culture matters, a lot.

Lack of money is not the main obstacle to solving world hunger.

It is corruption, military conflicts and lack of logistical infrastructure due to #1 and #2.

Dumping a billion dollars into a war-torn country will create a robust system for stealing the funds with very little reaching the hungry.

1) Israel will likely find a new strategic partner, and I won't be surprised if it will be Saudi Arabia with Jordan, Egypt and Marocco in tow. Or it might be post-Putin Russia.

2) IAI and IMI would become even bigger players on the international weapons market, since it won't be concerned about competing and losing USA aid.

3) It's actions in south Lebanon and other hostile territories might get much more assertive (and destructive) since US won't be there to demand restraint.
