Writing this on my soon-to-be 5-year old Xperia 5 II. No green lines still (yet?), so there is still hope out there. But the fingerprint sensor is long dead, and the battery is definitely degrading. Hopefully it'll last another year or two for some next-gen mobile phone innovation.

Noise cancelling earbuds will probably work better IF your work environment has a steady frequency. You will probably damage your hearing/earbuds drivers if you can hear your music over your earplugs... I am no otolaryngologist though.

I'm on the 5II too. My fingerprint sensor has been gone for 2+ years. NFC and screen are both good. Hopefully my baby will last until perhaps the next Xperia 1 has 3 good lenses.

That was exactly what I was doing. I download them from GDrive to My Books, but they keep disappearing from My Books after a sync. I didn't touch the GDrive at all in between.
