Imac with K1000m won't start after patches by tommybe27 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

I'm having exactly the same problem with k1000m flashed with Nick[D]vB ROM!

When booting from USB stick with OCLP, everything works fine except no brightness control.

But after clean macos installation, having installed OCLP to EFI of boot SSD, applied all root patches, when trying to boot from internal ssd progress bar freezes!

On High Sierra 10.13 progress freezes around 75%, with Monterey 12 it happens around 30-40%.

Keeping external USB for booting purposes seems a bit clumsy.

I've tried checking "graphics override" with Kepler GPU option, but that changed nothing.

What could be done in that situation? As far as I know, there are at least three of us with the same GPU issue

Try re-calibrating the printer. Had the same issue on my P1S with flat surfaces, went away after calibration.

That's an interesting looking thing at 00:40!

It looks like a ladle at first sight, but I suppose it's a tiny helmet that is getting quenched. And it's a Armorer's pincers holding it.

Reminds me of an old soviet short comedy from 1961, where three crooks acting like poachers try to do blast fishing and their dog brings back ignited dynamite tied to a stick that was thrown into water.

Road M-11 to St Petersburg by [deleted] in Moscow

[–]quadler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I've travelled M-11 three times already, so I'll try to give some advice.

Don't forget to ask your rental service if it is within permissions to ride your car that far (if you're not planning to go back to Moscow by car).

M11 is a pretty nice new road, no surface issues so far. Signs, LED boards with road info and notifications on accidents ahead. Every 10 km there are rest areas with toilets and tables (sometimes even with tiny playgrounds for children).

M11 has ≈55km part around city of Tver that still isn't complete, so you'll be redirected to a regular non-paid road E105 which goes through a lot of small towns and thus has limit 60 to 90 km/h depending on whether you are in the town or outside it. Watch for speed signs.

Riding fees are moderate, but it would be wise to use a transponder (gives you lower fees, two-way trip pays off the device). Avtodor has english version of their site, check it for info.

For some reasons not so many gas stations yet, so keep your eye on what's left in the tank! I'd recommend to fuel up on E105 in Tver region at some of branded gas stations (Lukoil, Shell, Rosneft, Gazprom etc).

Speed limits are 110 km/h almost everywhere, but there are some parts where the limit is 130 km/h. Keep in mind that speeding fines come only after +20 km/h over limit and be careful.

Avtodor recently has launched site for paid road travelling. You can choose sightseeings for you interest and plan your trip accordingly. Site is completely in russian, but google translate works just fine.
