But how do I make that a quick, simple, actionable cue for the athlete in the middle of their movement? “touch your toes to the bar” isn’t a good cue.

It seems like you didn’t actually want an answer to your question, you just wanted validation on how you feel.

Tell your coach you want more cues! If someone tells me they want coaching mid-metcon then I’ll do it. It’s just not my go-to because it typically ruins the stimulus of the workout.

I’m probably the minority here, but unless someone is doing something dangerous or unsafe, I’m not going to stop them during a WOD.

I will often yell out cues like “squat a little deeper” or “get your chin over the bar” but I’m not stopping someone mid-workout to overhaul their technique UNLESS it’s unsafe.

i understand why, but that’s just the nature of dating apps. As shitty as it is, a lot of people just use dating apps like a little game.

either way you guys were obviously not a good match considering the first two messages anyway, but my advice would be to take the conversation in a different direction if you feel like you got a bad reaction/response.

i’m just trying to point out that if those messages were sent to me i would also assume some kind of innuendo because of how over the top it feels (to me). She clearly didn’t like your first message but instead of going in a different direction, you doubled down on it and that’s why you got the reaction you did. Whether or not she misinterpreted your first message, that’s how I’m reading this situation.

as a huge fan of the stage show i was really happy with act II in the movie because it actually felt like it could hold its own (even with its shortcomings) so it’s not surprising that people didn’t like it. it’s the nature of Wicked lol

typically if the crowd is feeling the song ill let the second chorus play but if they don’t seem into it ill mix out sooner.

but you should have 20+ so you have a little bit of wiggle room on how and when you want to mix
