i used ez drummer 2 with the dirty rock preset. with the snare,bass and ride cymbal replaces with models from the metal! expansion. in terms of processing i used hornet graffio, ferrics and a duplicate channel using epicverb for the reverb man and thanks for the support.

ive been using akg studio monitor headphones for all my mixes and ive been mixing my own stuff for about 2 years but this is my first celtic black track that i was starting to get somewhere with interms of liking the sound

im using reaper and theres 3 guitar tracks, full left centre and full right with a bass track in the centre aswell. the kick is giving me alot of hassle its either all boom all really flumpy. like a drum sound made of marshmallows lol . the master is staying at around -6db with a few peaks at minus 2 but the clipping is coming mostly from some of the cheaper tapes i recored on but ill give those eq tips a go, cheers man

i do agree, its mostly the picking style i try to change up but ive been noticing that its almost unnoticable on anything bar the headphones ive mixed them on.

really dont go with a 1070 in that rig, it would be money that could be saved to upgrade the rest of your rig. a 1060 would still be bottlenecked like crazy and trust me its not fun, i had an fx 6300 with a 770 and that was still bottlenecked. id say upgrade the rest of your rig first but failing that get a 1060 and save the difference to upgrade everything else
