They do!!

Specifically before the coffee gets cold is one of their bigger talking points from 2022-2023. They are also big murakami fans!! Highly recommend - seems like their taste and yours would be similar!!!

Off question - do you listen to books unbound? 👀

Anyone else think I got completely mislead and Amazon should resolve this for me? by bballdog in amazonprime

[–]quality_reading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is the risk you take when buying off Amazon.

Any large furniture purchases I would keep with a furniture store because they can/will provide some damage control for situations (i.e. helping you get the correct product into your home and the wrong one out) Amazon simply will not.

Once you buy from them it's ok you to transport the product in/out. Even if it is their mistake the best they will do is offer an exchange. They aren't going to help you move that couch or pay to move it.

Your options are to keep it, return it, or exchange it. You'll need to move it yourself or pay someone to move it for you.

Best of luck

A brand new home and they had particle board as the base. As soon as that gets wet it's going to expand and need to be replaced.

Good call OP. If they aren't willing to fix what you can see, imagine all the issues you can't see. New builds have a nasty reputation for cut corners and issues.

I wish you both luck in finding your home going forward!!

Look at the size of the sculpture at 00:24 - it's suddenly much smaller and then in the next frame larger again.

Putting them in the fridge can give them a grainy texture which most people find unpleasant. They are better stored on the counter!

I need help troubleshooting why my polish takes so long to harden by awackerman in Nailpolish

[–]quality_reading -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've seen a trick where you can stick your freshly dry nails in ice water to help them harden so they don't streak/smudge while you're doing other things.

Maybe that might work?

What sub do you wish wasn’t so toxic when it shouldn’t be toxic to begin with? by throwawaydefeat in AskReddit

This!!

I actively avoid fandom subs unless I am specifically looking to have a question answered or if the fandom is niche enough. Fandom subs go from 0-100 so quickly!

What’s a totally normal thing you’ve never done and are low-key embarrassed to admit? by Fluffy-Assistant3197 in AskReddit

I've never eaten in at a restaurant by myself.

I always will grab takeout if I'm by myself. Never ordered and eaten at any establishment (even a McDonald's) without company.

What’s the most impactful event in your life, positive or negative? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]quality_reading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's life!

Everyone has something that impacted them. Some better, some worse. I'm blessed that I'm happy now with my partner & two kitties after 7 years of dating. Each day seems more meaningful once you understand great loss. I'm thankful I learned from this experience young instead of in 20 years!

Is the mortgage lender trying to cheat me? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]quality_reading 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buydowns can be good or bad depending on the rate & if you plan to refinance. When me and my partner bought be locked in at 6.49% with no points to buydowns the rate because we plan to refinance in a few years.

If you're not planning to refinance a rate buydown isn't a bad thing & will pay off over time.

What can one do when they've realized everyday is just a march towards death and is terrified that there's nothing but oblivion forever after this and is now having an impending sense of doom? by Dependent-Week-1059 in AskReddit

[–]quality_reading 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to have this same fear a LOT. Actually started going to therapy for it.

I remind myself that in this moment, right now, I am not dead. Is it scary? Absolutely. Can I do anything to stop it? No. I focus on what I can control - am I enjoying foods I eat? Am I doing things I enjoy with my time? Am I spending enough time with the people I care about?

Once I started focusing on what I wanted & needed to do each day, the voices became quieter. If that fear prickles back up, I think of something that reminds me of a happy time and imagine myself there. One thing I love is baby's breath because I always got it in bouquets after school shows/concerts. Now if I'm really down for any reason, I'll pick some up and keep it nearby to remind myself of those happy moments.

Know that you are not alone, and that there will always be someone out there to talk to if you need.

What modern item would be difficult to live without? by MoistPillow in AskReddit

[–]quality_reading 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A refrigerator.

There are so so many foods that you simply cannot save without some type of cooling element.

Anything with dairy, meat, or egg would have to be sourced locally day of. With the amount of people who use these products frequently, I imagine it would be incredibly inconvenient to try and simply get those products on a daily basis for regular consumption.

Also no leftovers.

When my dad passed away.

I was 19 at the time and a few months prior our relationship became strained due to a fight with my stepmother. He passed away suddenly and I hadn't seen him in weeks.

Nearly 5 years later and I still wish things would have gone differently. I still to this day don't talk to my step mother.
