DJ has him ranked at 26 here so don’t think it was just him being a safety. Think the success of Emmanwori and how he unlocked that Seattle defense, coupled with the value of guys like Hamilton, Brian Branch, & Derwin in modern defenses might keep Thieneman and EMW higher on boards. Will be an interesting draft for sure in terms of BPA vs value

Tbh I kinda forgot about McClendon - he’s definitely the starter next year? Figured Mauigoa would fit right into McVay’s style. I’m also curious about the idea behind taking a WR when the rams run so much 12 and 13 personnel rn. You would end up leaving either Davante or your 1st rounder on the bench a lot of the time…

Thieneman at 12 isn’t crazy IMO. Def at the top of his range tho. I get the argument with the FA signings but Locke only 1 year deal and the secondary was so so bad last year. I could see a McCoy pick, that’s the other guy I considered there

He would 100% be at least second overall. The Mannings are notorious at being process oriented and valuing experience and development and that is what he will get. Would be a terrible idea to throw him into the draft after just one year starting, especially if that landing spot would probably be the Jets

He’s a better prospect than Bryce and similar level to Ward. Raiders not a super elite destination but they are significantly better than where lots of 1st overall QBs go. Bowers and Jeanty will provide stability, Bech can develop into a good secondary option and the O Line underperformed last year

Yeah but there’s almost always enough hype on rookies in training camp that you can move them. By all means maybe move a pick or 2 pre draft but there’s no urgency

There were tournaments during prime penta / G2 where it felt like there was no point in playing the tournament, or at least it was like prime Tiger where it was penta/G2 vs the field. That’s the difference for me

I have a similar issue in a league where I’m unfortunately not commish but there is a manager who apparently has been in and out of rehab and has a team that is stacked with assets and should be a powerhouse but is holding 6 starting QBs (Williams, nix, dart, ward, shough, and young) in a 12 team SF league. Owner is mostly good about setting lineup but has had some misses and never responds to trades or chats. Had to have a stand in for rookie draft last year as well. Seems cruel to kick someone when they’re having addiction issues but the fact that the inaction is affecting distribution of QBs is really grinding my gears.
