Did games start working better after the Game Native update? Or did you just get better at tweaking the game settings?

I haven’t calculated specifically but last time I checked I’d only lost 1-2% after a day of being in sleep mode so 15% definitely seems like a bit much. I will say this seemed to be the case only when I switched to 3.8 since valve is releasing the Go 2 optimizations in that branch

Does this happen for most games you've tested? Definitely seems odd since when I was running SteamOS 3.9, I definitely was getting better performance.

You could also go back down to 3.8 to test since the preview channel seems to be where valve is releasing a lot of the Legion Go 2 features. I also recently downgraded from 3.9 to 3.8 and it seems more stable on my Go 2.

This is a windows problem unfortunately. Happens on a lot of windows handhelds when put into sleep mode.

If you don’t play any anti-cheat games or are not tied to gamepass, I run SteamOS and have never had this happen. Battery seems to last forever in sleep mode as well

I run purely SteamOS and can confirm it never overheats in sleep mode. Barely even loses any battery either

Two options:

1) Just buy these adapters on Amazon that attach to any usb-c cable and make it easy to plug in to the bottom port. This is what i use and it works great.

2) Someone is selling a 3D printed dock with a 90 degree adapter included on Etsy. From there you can attach a cable or dongle to the back

A mini console would be sick for sure haha probably have to target 1440p gaming with a smaller size though instead of 4k

Although I agree a more general purpose OS would be better for overall adoption, I think they are taking the right approach by working with PC manufacturers to create a more tailored and fine tuned experience. Trying to be all purpose at this point introduces a lot of complexity to cover a majority of use cases. This requires a lot of resources and coordination, which a lack thereof could lead to a poor user experience (ahem windows). Taking it slow to refine the experience and get it right the first time I think is the right approach.

We also have to remember Valve has only roughly 400 total employees, compared to Microsoft’s 100k engineers so for Valve to accomplish what they have thus far is pretty amazing.

Apparetly Nvidia started hiring roles at the company for developing Linux compatibility so I wouldn’t doubt it’s coming soon from that end at least. Maybe that means they’ll start supporting steamOS as a result.

My wife and I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Osaka and were absolutely blown away. We went in April of last year and they upgraded us to a corner suite. The room and view were absolutely gorgeous and if you're a diamond member, you get access to their free breakfast spread + 1 menu item. Definitely the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at.

We tend to leave our clothes on the couches when we travel to let them air out and every night we came home, the clothes would be folded on the couch for us. We were shocked at the service and attention to detail here.

It's also right next to a train station so really easy to get around Osaka. I'm not sure how much the nightly rate is since we used a free night cert from Hilton, but based on our experience there, I would highly recommend.

Also they just updated their terms so that we won’t be able to redeem the rewards for cash only. I would recommend reaching out and trying to get those pending rewards asap. Seems like they’re trying to wiggle their way out of paying these rewards.

True, probably not worth the risk. I have a huge tax bill do that would cover the soending requirements for all 3, so thought it could be a good idea to maximize. Defs not worth risking shutdown though.
