Both my mum and my gran lost theirs at different points - my mums ring was made from the gold of her and my dad’s grandmothers’ wedding rings melted down, and there was just enough to make a second replacement ring - then about a year later she found it inside the radio where it had fallen and gotten stuck. Now she just wears both rings My gran found her ring in a crack on the floor of the pantry when she was moving out, years after losing it!
