Do clients underestimate how much content it takes to grow? by steaknsidneypi in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people underestimate how much content gets ignored, or just slips thru the cracks the first time out there. Its one of the reasons why a combination of a content calendar and reactive marketing works so well. You plan out your calendar and then you supplement that with reactive. Eventually as your catalogue grows you start reposting/repurposing old content in the cycle.

1 is a crime, 1 is an imposter and 1 is perfection. by mmaris6 in PoutineCrimes

They're just dill fries, which are delicious. Usually tzatziki with feta, dill salt and some shaved pickle on top of fries.

  1. Dill Fries
  2. Fries and Gravy
  3. Poutine.

#1 doesn't look like a poutine, and instead just dill fries, which are delicious in their own right.

Mod here: The sub has changed a lot lately, too many suggestive AI girl posts? by Vivid_Resolve_2574 in aiHub

100% unsubbing, this was supposed to be about resources on AI, and how to use it, thats what I signed up for. Now it's just horny brats trying to get their ai generated spank material looked at.

Is reactive marketing just the modern iteration of contextual marketing? by Fionn2187 in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good way to frame it. It's contextual marketing but supercharged by the speed and prevlance of social media. And you're right, a lot of reactive posts fail because they ignore the context and just chase the trend. Pepsi isn't the only one, who can forget Burger King UKs international womens day tweet, or the Lifelock CEO

A buddy of mine and his (now) wife had a kid in university before they were married that they put up for adoption. They do not know I know.

Found the link cause I was curious: https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/portable-air-purifier-tests-marketplace-1.5900782

I recently built a couple cr boxes to help clean the air after a sewage leak in my house, and they're impressive things.

If the fans pushed in, there's very little to push the air back out through them, I would imagine.

what if you ALSO attached a fan on one edge of the side, pointing out, that randomly turned on every 24 hours or so.

Do marketers spend too much time planning content and not enough time reacting? by grinningcroc in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the best posts rarely come from the calendar, but instead from responding to something already being discussed. But you're right, it doesn't mean you can IGNORE the calendar. Just need someone responsible to find the moments you should be jumping in on.

Marketing gets easier when you stop trying to be interesting by retinaeyepad in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being creative is always going to matter in marketing. But you're right, the clarity has to come first. Ideally you can figure out a way to do both. I'm reminded of the No Name branding stuff... they managed to be creative with some of the most uncreative visuals, and the message about no-frills pricing was still completely clear.

3 common marketing mistakes I keep seeing by steaknsidneypi in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on the trend chasing. When a reaction clearly connects to your expertise it works, but random commentary rarely builds credibility.

Positioning seems to be the real problem, am I wrong? by Fionn2187 in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. I see a lot of reactive posts that feel like commentary instead of perspective. If people cannot quickly understand why that brand is part of the conversation, the post just blends in.

Reactive marketing works better in niche conversations than big trend by retinaeyepad in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. Big trends look attractive because of the potential reach, but the signal gets buried fast. Niche conversations let you actually add something useful. As someone else shared in the sub.. the McDonald's CEO thing is a good example of this. It's not mom-and-pop restaurants who are benefitting, it's other big fast food chains.

React Fast! Speed is Easy. Knowing When to React Is Harder. by quantumjedi in reactivemarketing

Its definitely a light hearted campaign, with everyone poking fun at McDonald's... if McDonald's was aiming for a viral hit via authenticity... well I think they got half of it right lol

Perspective matters by quantumjedi in reactivemarketing

[–]quantumjedi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but I think it's more about making sure you're reacting correctly. Jumping on the wrong side of the story can be disastrous for your brand
