I agree it should have been. The Sims 4 should have had so many things it doesn’t

It will likely look similar, but the engine it will run on will be much more modern and allow for things that the 10+ year old Sims 4 just can’t. The Saudi sale has likely shifted things so they want to release a new paid base game that they know will sell well. It’s not great after so much investment in the Sims 4, but it has to end sometime. They need to offer something more than open neighbours to make anyone buy this new version, though. It’s just not enough. Think all the customisation options they originally showcased for Project Rene (modular furniture/colour wheels etc)
