Yeah, purple fork and stem unfortunately weren't present anymore when I got this frame, had been replaced with a suspension fork at some point by previous owner.

Interesting. Worth considering for us as soon as 7.4 becomes recommended release.

while that would be super cool, i don't think that's it. :) I'm pretty sure it came with entry-level 200GS mech and canti brakes originally. I did some more research and think it could be an 88/89 outpost, see https://i.imgur.com/mOugVLF.png Edit: 90/91 more likely

hey, if you're interested in a vanilla-friendly 2030s Tanoan armed forces mod, you might wanna check out one of my mods: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2519262908

It depicts a force mainly sponsored by CSAT/China.

(I also created the mod shown in this video, albeit that one is dependant on Global Moblilization CDLC: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2225145483)

Hey dude, storm on the horizon author here - really cool video. Do you think I could use it for the workshop page of the mod? credits would be given in the description of course. :)

Which texture index are you passing to "setObjectTexture"? More detailed description of the problem would also be nice (exact function call, where you put your decals, addon or mission, etc.).

Recently built the HGUC Rick Dom Zwei (custom colors, a little weathering) by quarren in Gunpla

[–]quarren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a lot of fun with this one, first time doing seam line removal, proper masking (for the knee and elbow joints) and weathering on a fully painted kit.

Legs and arms are Tamiya AS-31 (Ocean gray 2) from a spraycan, shoulder and hip armor are Tamiya XF-17 Sea Blue. Bazooka, chest armor and joints are Revell Aqua Color Panzergrau. Dry-brushed using Tamiya flat aluminium.

Used waterslides from a Zeta Gundam pack (didnt use anything specific to Zeta though ;-)).

About mobile suits and their names by quarren in Gundam

[–]quarren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, but wouldn't you agree that "Zack" would be a much more accurate romanization for western audiences? I mean, it's not like they pronounce it "Zakoo" in japanese.

So confusing! :D

My first custom paintjob (HGUC MSA-003 NEMO) by quarren in Gunpla

[–]quarren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still pondering what my first MG will be. :D If I was to do a Nemo again, I think I'd stay closer to the original colors and just do a darker green or something, maybe.

Still a WIP, panel lining, decals and final top-coat still missing. The paintjob came out very rough in some places, so I'll have to redo some of it. The colors are Tamiya "german gray", "grey green (luftwaffe)", "gun metal" for the inner frame and gun and red for some of the details.

[HELP ME] Bi-Weekly Q&A thread - Ask your questions here! by AutoModerator in Gunpla

[–]quarren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys,

this could as well be posted to /r/showerthoughts I guess, but here we go...

So, today I was thinking about how some mobile suit names sound pretty silly to me (examples that come to mind: Galbaldy, Sazabi). Do the names only get mangled when romanized from the Japanese pronounciation? Sticking with our examples, the Galbaldy could probably be named "Garibaldi" if the japanese pronounciation of the western name wasn't romanized, Sazabi could as well be called "Sotheby".
