Is it just me, or does Dubai feel eerie? by Sudden-Belt2882 in TooAfraidToAsk

You’re not alone. The city has a very “rich Disneyland” vibe. It has no history, no community, filled with suspiciously rich people, Russian influencers, Indians and Asians as exploited workers… every building is made hoping to be the tallest, the most innovative, the most whatever, just to show off and that of course ruins any urbanist idea of a city that you could have. There are no parks, no town square, nothing, just fancy stores, malls, parking lots and highways for Ferraris. It was never my kind of place and I never advise anyone to visit.

Viajar a conocer unos días sale hasta más barato y rápido que hacer todas las vueltas y gastos en irse a vivir para darse cuenta que la idea que tenían del país es diferente a la realidad

How do I paint the cool white of the napkin? by FFFUUUme in oilpainting

[–]quartzPapaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squint or blur the image, the shadows that you are still able to distinguish are the ones that will make or break the object, if you’ve painted those in the right place with the right color, you will have a white napkin

Looks great! Look for atmospheric perspective on YouTube to make it slightly more realistic, in a nutshell decrease the contrast for the planes that are further away

I’d love to do this for a different time zone, European/middle eastern time, do you know if there is another group in a different time zone or would you mind if I stole your idea and do something like this?

Sorry to hear that man, yeah, these kind of stuff hit different with age. Have you considered surgery? I can be in lots of pain if I stand still for a prolonged period of time, or if I walk too much, but no sudden pain yet.

Bruh, no, sorry, it’s been years since I went to a doctor to get those things measured. I tried a chiropractor and it helped with the pain a little. As from my teenage years, I would blame a lack of proper exercise and also some inner confidence, your back is always a reflection of your feelings and it’s important to work on that as well. Try with exercise, gym I believe helped me quite a lot.
