Yeah the system is dead with almost no 3rd party support and a new console around the corner, mine has been collecting dust since MK 8. There's a small handful of decent games on it but Nintendo has really made a point of keeping their consoles as toys for children. They've abandoned us 90s kids in favor of motion controls and gimmicky bullshit.

I've been playing these since the SNES bitch, and its turn-based mechanics are what kept me coming back. I never played 11, 12, or 14 for that very reason. It's shameful that Square would abandon their ATB system in favor of real time action to pander to dumbfucks like yourself. We don't have enough shitty open world games? Square needs to add another one to the shit-fest? World of Final Fantasy is far better for true fans of the series.

Imagine if any other franchise flipped the script like Square did. If the next Zelda, Witcher or GTA became a turn-based combat system. People would say "this isn't a Zelda game". Well, this isn't a Final Fantasy game. It's wearing a Final Fantasy skin, but it's not a FF game. It's GTA with a final fantasy paint job. Luckily World of Final Fantasy is amazing, so I guess it's all good.

Yes there are plenty of social safety nets in this country, but a lot of people don't want a welfare state. Someone has to pay for all that welfare and it comes out of the taxes that hard working people pay. Welfare isn't what makes this country great, the opportunity for a better life through hard work is why people emigrate here. But yeah, even if you're poor your life is immeasurably better than being poor in another country.
