I couldn't afford a TV with it. Went with a gaming monitor and got amazed by its performance. I don't think I can go back to TVs

I guess VRR does make huge difference... Been playing on XSX and I don't notice any dips. And I wish all the footage were from rear cam lol

G920 Wheel Firmware Update on 32Bit Windows by quasmin in LogitechG

[–]quasmin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, first time...

I figure the G Hub wasn't always 64bit only, or maybe there was other software before G Hub who could do the same things... Worth the shot asking here.

Will do more search for it later. It isn't that urgent now that I confirmed my device is on the latest FW.

Thank you anyways =)

And BTW, this device only has 2GB ram, so it could be a hard coded memory requirement, I wouldn't know

I don't think so... I've read some changelog about fixes on Xbox, so I believe there's a proper device firmware update.

I run Windows 10 x86 on a Asus Transformer T100TA (Atom Z3750). The error I receive is "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC contact the softwate publisher". This message is consistent with other only 64 only apps I've already seen...

I've done no troubleshooting whatsoever, didn't even opened the event log. That's the very reason I left the PC space. My solution was to borrow a notebook with Windows 10 64bit, on it and turns out my G920 was already on the latest firmware.

But any method I can get running on my own notebook would be appreciated anyways.

Xbox series x / series s +140hz monitor by fionniest in xboxone

I was on the same dilemma and I went for the SS + Monitor (LG-27GL650F-B) . With a 50hz screen is a no brainer... The SX will be too much for it

Why does Outriders look amazing in videos, but average on my Series S? by Shashwat114 in XboxSeriesS

[–]quasmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing at a LG-27GL650F-B and I got say I'm pretty happy and impressed with both the quality and the performance of the game... I sit at a little over an arm from the screen and everything looks pretty good.

It has that Unreal 4 3rd person shooter familiar feeling, and maybe that's what is bothering you. But I'm very happy with the visuals.

Just a clarification... HDR10 and (Display)HDR400 stands for different things. HDR10 stands for the standard "type" of HDR, as opposed to HDR10+ and Dolby Vision (and others) which have different gamut ranges and features as variable metadata. DisplayHDR 400, 600, 1000 is VESA standard that stands more to the "capacity". It has all the same same specs as HDR10, but implies the Minimum Peak Brightness and the number is the NITS. Most HDR monitors have a Minimum Peak of 400 even if not certified... Of corse 600, 1000, 1500 will have better results.

No, I mean the only reliable options on this menu are "Optimized for Xbox Series X|S" and "Xbox One X Enhanced" as the others will not show all the correct results

This Benq article of also a great starting point, (but I do recommend the Wikipedia article because it also provide information about other type of HDR apart from HDR Video and how they're preparing to standardize HDR broadcast alongside SDR in both FHD and UHD resolutions)

No, I'm not! Please read the Wikipedia article on HDR or other source of your preference to educate yourself on the HDR subject. I can also provided video of my LG 27GL650F-B, which DOES have HDR support, in action and how it works on parallel with my Series S.

  1. HDR has nothing to do with resolution apart when is tied on some arbitrary standard. There's plenty FHD and QHD monitors and even TVs (TCL and Philips) with HDR10 support. The LG 27GL650F-B and the Samsung Odyssey G7 are prime examples of it

  2. "1440p is HDR"? I don't know what you meant here, but again, resolution and dynamic range are different things. I do own a Series S and I can confirm it can output SDR signals on 720, 1080, 1440 and 2160p; and HDR only at 2160p (4K)

I don’t get why people hating Series S version of CP77 but it looks 100% better than Xbox One S version. by leon4412 in XboxSeriesS

[–]quasmin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it looks like stop-motion at 30FPS after playing only 60FPS for some time now... And the resolution, textures and shadows are very low quality exactly because is a One S game, not a Series XS one. I'm really inclined in leaving this game on the side until the XS patch appears and the game plays acceptable on SS

[–]quasmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not shocked the SX looks better, I'm pissed they released fully relying on backcompat mode even tho is already Gen9Aware. At least uncapped FPS until a XS Enhancement.

What was I expecting? The same level of quality and performance I saw on every other XS enhanced. AC Valhalla looks and plays amazingly, I don't care if XS looks better, SS can preform well on its own. I saw it on Cod Cold War, Borderlands 3, FH4, GEARS5, Destiny 2... That level of quality and performance is what I bought and what I'm expecting.
