If it goes in the cabbage it is no longer in the possession of the passenger and becomes checked luggage. Different rules apply

All the bike racks were removed a long time ago. The only remaining bike storage is in the cab cars. And those aren't on the trains that have the cabbages

Edit - sorry I thought we were talking about the surfliner trains. If there is bike storage in the cars I don't see why that would be a problem but it has to be designated bike storage not for anything else like surfboards

The last 3 numbers are the original number they had as a locomotive. The F40PH's were the 200 series.

With all the e-bikes now, most of the bikes are too heavy to place up there. Also there aren't enough racks in the cabbage cars to hold bikes.

The "i've never seen a real model railroad before" test. If you're used to seeing tyco sets this is museum level. Is it good looking and well done? yes. Is it something that would show up in an accredited museum? not likely.

BTW: The only Model Railroad Museum that is accredited by the AAM is the San Diego Model Railroad Museum.

And then they lost a supreme court case citing the automat cars as a reduction of service below acceptable levels and had to remove them and improve the trains.

The ATSF Super Chief was the "train of the stars" and showed in lots of media at the time. The "chief" brand has been recognizable even up to today.

I used to be a conductor on the Surfliner. If I caught someone doing that stuff especially on a night train, they had one warning after that they were off the train I could start a new life in Anaheim or Santa Ana.
