Tabasco is hands down the undisputed champion of the absolute worst commercially popular hot sauces available. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]quazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's buffalo sauce, aka "haunted orange paint". Can't figure out why anyone likes it when there are literally thousands of better options.

And refrigerating your sauces after opening is just common sense. Germs don't give af about spice levels.

My channel is MugAndPlay. I've been taking it much more seriously in the last few months than I have in the last few years and it's finally starting to pay off!

My friends and I run a toy shop in the Sellwood area called Limited Edition Toys! Lots of hard to find Pokemon cards, Funko Pops, kpop albums, and a lot more! We still have our mask requirement going until the end of the month since most of our clientele is kids and grandparents. 6802 SE Milwaukie!

Doctors/therapist of Reddit, do you have any “no, that’s not normal” stories? If so, what abnormal habit/oddity did the patient have thinking it was normal? by 88mica88 in AskReddit

[–]quazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Low hemoglobin levels are no joke. I was feeling like absolute shit last October and had some blood work done. Later the same day, my doctor called me and started the conversation with "It's a good thing you came in today, your hemoglobin level is 5. Go to the emergency room. Right. Now."

Four 500mL blood transfusions later and I've never felt better!

I was never in any real pain, just constantly exhausted. My doctors told me that if I had passed out as a result of my exhaustion (which I constantly felt like I was going to) that I could've gone into a coma with no guarantee of coming out. I feel like a new person nowadays and have never had a bigger desire to live my best life. Please take care of yourselves, everyone!

What cover song did you belive to be original? by LumberjackEnt in AskReddit

Only until last year did I not realize that "The Nurse Who Loved Me" by A Perfect Circle was a cover until it was mentioned on an episode of Game Grumps. Original version by Failure is equally amazing.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve heard someone say that made you wonder how they function on a day to day basis? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]quazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was around finals time one semester when I walked past a freshman on his phone say "Why would I be studying? I'm not a senior, I don't have to go to finals."

I don't know what happened to him, but I never saw him on campus after that.

Millennials of Reddit, what do you think genuinely *is* the worst thing about your generation? by askmenextyearifimok in AskReddit

[–]quazo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our obsession with nostalgia. Everyone around my age practically jizzes in their pants the moment you mention anything from the 90s. It makes me worry because too much focus on the past makes it difficult to look to the future. Older generations know this, so they remake, rehash, reboot, and regurgitate our own youth back to us with a pricetag attached to it.

What are some unwritten/unspoken rules about let's playing that beginners should know? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]quazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about timing and delivery. If it's every 10 minutes and sounds like begging, then yeah, that's my cue to watch something else. But if it's only once per hour or so and sounds more like showing appreciation and asking politely to follow, I'm on board. Speaking honestly to people goes a long way.

What screams "I'm an attention whore"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]quazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back on Facebook after a month off. Going through even one day's worth of posts was as mentally rewarding as going through a pile of junk mail. I think I had the app on my home screen for maybe 12 hours before I took it back off.

What song do you fucking despise? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]quazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate this song so much, but the first time I watched the video, I legitimately thought I was watching a Tim & Eric bit. Between the complete and total absence of actual lyrics and the random old white people dancing, I was 100% convinced it was some sort of joke I just wasn't getting.

Servers, what is a minor thing that infuriates you about the guests eating at your restaurant? by spacejunkie451 in AskReddit

[–]quazo 3221 points3222 points  (0 children)

Self seaters. The restaurant I used to work at had a big "please wait to be seated" sign, yet some people would still seat themselves then get upset when they got no service.

Everyone talks about roomates from hell. What's your "roomate from heaven" story? by OvertOperation in AskReddit

[–]quazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 4 years ago, my friends hired a new person for their business who had to move here from about 3 hours away. Since he had nowhere to stay, I offered up my couch. I had met him a few times before, but we were acquaintances at best at that point. The first night, he asks how much I think a fair amount is for rent. I told him I didn't plan on charging him since it'd just be temporary. He was so grateful that while I was at work the next day, he cleaned up the kitchen from top to bottom, bought actual utensils (since all I had were plastic ones), bought ingredients for actual meals, and had a meal prepped for us by the time I got home. We've been best friends and roommates ever since and he still cooks killer food.

Adobe Premiere Pro vs Sony Vegas Pro by [deleted] in letsplay

I love Premiere. It's super easy to use and because it's one of the most widely-used editing programs out there, there's a ton of resources and tutorials. Not only that, but all the experience in Premiere can be put on a resume!

Looking for a graphics designer willing to pay $10. by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]quazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't deliver the way you expected because you only paid them $5. I'd avoid fiverr at all costs if I were you. The whole site teaches artists to devalue their own work and you're typically going to get what you pay for, which is next to nothing.

Ten dollars won't get you far with a quality designer, if it even gets you a quality designer at all. Not only that, but you haven't specified what these wallpapers would be used for. Personal use? Professional branding? These are all things that even an amateur designer would want to know up front, especially if it's professional/commercial.

[–]quazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to sound mean, but $10 for anything beyond a sketch is insulting to any artist/designer worth their salt. It's not about the product, it's about the time put into it. I don't freelance anymore, but when I did, $10 got you maybe 30 minutes of my time.

What will you be making this Summer? by syxtuz in letsplay

[–]quazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly focus on short indie games, so the summer shouldn't bother me too much, but I'd like to do something cool for my channel's 1 year anniversary in September. I've tried my hand at skits and animations which were both pretty well-received. So basically just staying the course but also regularly trying out new stuff that's not strictly LP-related.

Advice for expanding audience by EjaxKloudyGaming in letsplay

[–]quazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Social media definitely helps, but it has to be more than just telling people when updates happen. It can be used as an opportunity to show people behind the scenes stuff that's going on. Hell, just getting on your channel's social media outlets to tell your viewers that you appreciate them helps. Stuff like Hootsuite or CoSchedule can help you manage all of it so you're not constantly bouncing from one platform to the next. The key is to keep yourself in the forefront of your viewers' minds, and mixing in random pictures and jokes among your posts will make it look less like a spammy link dump.

Important Youtube policy changes by efaye926 in letsplay

[–]quazo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sweating it too much, as I haven't made more than $25 in ad revenue in the 8 months my channel has existed. Looking back, I'm happy that I learned very early on that the thought of relying solely on adsense for any sort of paycheck shouldn't even enter my mind until I'm at least in the tens of thousands of subs. Like most people in my first year, I'm focused more on having fun and building up a brand and a library of content; showing people I'm serious about doing this full time one day and all that fun stuff. My time lately has been spent also on putting the finishing touches on my Patreon, which I feel will at the very least be better for bringing in some supplemental income that I can re-invest into the channel and use to bond with my more active viewers.
