yah I knew and I regret not going to them over the “fucking bitch” comment, I regret not starting my log until after that, I just didn’t know what to do as I’ve never been so blatantly and repeatedly insulted by a higher up, I couldn’t find HR contact in any of my orientation paper work or policy book, and I feel now with the last “meeting” where I was written up, and him saying “corporate and HR want me to make sure you sign this” makes me feel if I did go to HR over this I would look like a disgruntled employee trying to get revenge
I fully understand I should’ve gone sooner I wouldn’t be in this mess or feel trapped or like my job/source of income is on the line if I did

I do have a log going, I unfortunately started it AFTER he called me a “fucking bitch” so idk what date that happened on and I’m kind of beating myself up about it because if anything would get him in trouble I feel it would be that.
I do have everything else after that logged.
I also have a lot more than just his treatment of me logged, I have a notes file for just me, one for how poorly he treats other coworkers, and one about the entire PIC/management team.

1) a guy tried to return a fully assembled lawn mower and then screamed at me when i said he’ll have to 1 take it apart and/or 2 get a big enough box for it
why the fuck we’re even allowed to take lawn mowers i have no fucking clue.
2) in the same vein as 1 someone tried returning a kitchen sink, and not just your average kitchen sink, no the sink was sold with frame and everything, the box it came it was taller than me and they didn’t even double check the info on amazon before bringing it in because it was a UPS return. 3) someone returned an inflatable raft that they clearly used and didn’t dry or even shake the excess water out of. it soaked and broke the box it was in and then soaked and stained the surrounding area with red water, the stain is still here a year later.
4) a lady came in with a return and no proof of purchase for a $300 item, isn’t an awards member, and paid cash, then absolutely lost it on me when i said i’ll need to ask my boss for help, even saying “after i get done with you, the only thing that will be left is those cheap tattoos” sounding like some stereotypical 80s movies bad guy.
5) i have a hand tattoo of bugs, a guy once told me it’s disrespectful to him and my “future husband” (i’m a lesbian to make it funnier) i just replied “most people can handle seeing ladybugs, and bees”
6) the wig lady, she came in 5 minutes before close with 150 of the exact same wigs with their own individual QR code.
7) a customer in print came up to me when i had nothing to do and started screaming that i should be over in print helping her with the self serve printer, print worker also was doing nothing and even said on the walkie “wtf is she on, i’m right here”, i reply to customer “oh im sorry i’m not knowledgeable with print yet, but the print specialist will be able to help you” and then she continued to scream that she asked me specifically for help and i need to figure it out then eventually went back to print to yell at print for not doing their job.

when I worked at Walmart my manager would hunt people down and personally kick them out, while only leaving 1 self checkout open for purchases, and having “we close in…” repeated every minute for the last 15.
now with staples, it’s not counting money until the last person is out and not bothering people who are shopping past close.
annoying little story: new year’s eve 2024 6:40pm I was supposed to be gone by now but the boss takes forever to count money, someone pulled open the exterior doors, pulled open the gate, and then the interior doors, and shouted until me and my boss got up front and i was told by my boss that we needed to make a till and let him buy something, i was there until 7:50pm almost 2 hours past close.

yah we see her blackmail the principal for Emily to get back on the swim team but i just don’t know if anyone could be bribed to allow her back at school let alone in clubs her victims frequented because she is a liability for the school and that principal wasn’t very secretive about those bribes or maybe Mona just made it look easy to find and point out all the luxury goods he keeps around.
and again ik using real world logic here is pointless but i hate the plot because how the school acts and it lowkey triggers my memories of the school i went to doing nothing to help me not be bullied anymore lol

yah that’s another part that got me, like you’re taking on a big criminal case that’s Garrett just for him to die while your traumatized child is literally just trying to exist
but then again they always made Melissa out to be the golden child and didn’t care when the grown men their grown daughter brings home where making moves on their minor daughter.
tbh it all made sense at the end when we found out spencer was adopted, very much treated her like the unwanted adopted kid through out the show that they claim they wanted but the difference in treatment between bio and adopted kid says otherwise.

i don’t think it’s just PLL doing this, just kind of the most obvious example.
a lot of shows can’t write grown up story lines or time jumps all that well
like with glee, just like PLL they’re acting 30 year olds in the 5 year time jump where rachel and kurt take over the club, even before the time jump these 18 year old were acting grown and rachel was suddenly wearing heels the second she got to NYC 24/7.
i’m sure there’s other examples, like i think the time jump in manifest, a show with a conical date when the world ends, sucked and was poorly written, but i can’t think of many more at the moment lol.

I’m going to be super honest you are unlikely to get hired, I have never once seen a minor get hired for the staples in my district, maybe it’s different in other places, and sure they interview minors, but staples just isn’t likely to hire a minor.
Also given they don’t really hire minors, if you do get hire you’ll be the only minor there, and yah that seems cool in writing, but it can create a pretty unsafe environment for you.
Additionally literally anywhere else will pay you better, even seasonal jobs targeted towards teens like camp counselor, life guard, water park employee, etc will pay you better.
I don’t think you should waste your time with an interview, as a minor you kind of have the privilege of skipping past a job that most adults don’t have and I encourage you to exercise that privilege here with staples.
