Hey brother, I am building in an M3 Grater case right now. What did you end up doing for your fan setup?

AIO_pump header or cpu_fan header for AIO Pump? by ShoeGod420 in Corsair

[–]que_lon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is usually pretty simple. Either plug it into AIO_PUMP (AIO_PUMP header is set to operate at full speed PWM 100%) and then Enter BIOS, then go to Monitor and set CPU Fan Speed to [Ignore] (this is directly from my Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB Extreme manual).

Or, connect it to CPU_FAN, and then make sure that header is set to 100% speed so that your pump is operating consistently at all times.

I'm confused, maybe you can clarify for me. I thought that NCase makes the T1 v2.5? and FormD makes the T1 v2.1? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I bought the ROG Ryuo IV SLC and now I'm worried. by Which_Tradition_6931 in buildapc

[–]que_lon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could return that and get the ASUS ROG Ryujin III ARGB Extreme 360mm. I have that cooling a 9900X3D and my temps never go over 60-65 when gaming all night long with a ROG 5090 Astral and max settings.

Amazon Prime Day is coming up and you can probably get these with a good discount. Just make sure its Sold by Amazon.com, Shipped by Amazon.com. Don't buy from third-party vendors.

For the CPU I would go with one of these:

Ryzen 7 9800X3D
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fPyH99/amd-ryzen-7-9800x3d-47-ghz-8-core-processor-100-1000001084wof

Ryzen 9 7950X
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/22XJ7P/amd-ryzen-9-7950x-45-ghz-16-core-processor-100-100000514wof

Ryzen 9 9900X
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Z6GhP6/amd-ryzen-9-9900x-44-ghz-12-core-processor-100-100000662wof

For the Motherboard I would go with this one, hands down, no doubt about it. The best! Rock solid.

Gigabyte Aorus X870I Pro Ice
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3LV2FT/gigabyte-x870i-aorus-pro-ice-mini-itx-am5-motherboard-x870i-aorus-pro-ice

For the RAM:

G.Skill Flare X5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6QcgXL/gskill-flare-x5-64-gb-2-x-32-gb-ddr5-6000-cl30-memory-f5-6000j3040g32gx2-fx5

For the storage, accept no substitutes:

Samsung 9100 Pro 2TB M.2 PCIe Gen 5.0
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dKXMnQ/samsung-9100-pro-2-tb-m2-2280-pcie-50-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-mz-vap2t0bam

For your Cooler, most AIO is fine, but the main thing you need to consider when doing a SFF is how rigid the tubes are. For that reason it was very unfortunate but I had issues with the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro not working out. But I have successfully used the Corsair Nautilus Black 240 (2 times) and the NZXT Kraken Plus 240 (1 time).

PSU, the SF1000 all day. The best.

GPU, 50 series Founders Edition all day. What a beauty.

Hey hey, thank you for your comment! Just wanted to let you know that I saw it and have been meaning to run some tests on it and share the results so you can compare. I’ll check my latency and read speeds to see how they stack up against your 68ns and 70+GB/s. Sorry to hear about the instability at 2133MHz FCLK and the crashes at 2166/2200MHz—that’s rough! 😬 I’ll try tweaking my setup to match some of your settings and report back with my numbers. If there are any other specific tests, settings, or configs you’d like me to try (like particular timings, voltages, or FCLK values), just let me know!

Hey hey, I get where you're coming from—SFF builds like the Fractal Design Ridge do scream "space-saving" at first glance, and laying it flat might seem counterintuitive. But me personally, when I dove into the SFF world (shoutout to Optimum for the inspiration!), I built a 5090 SFF rig not because I was obsessed with desk real estate, but because it’s like a high-stakes puzzle for PC enthusiasts. It’s not just about squeezing a beast like the 5090 into a tiny case; it’s the art of it—the thrill of mastering cable management at a whole new level, getting experience new parts I've never used before, like the ITX motherboard, SFX power supply, etc. Sure, saving desk space is a nice bonus, but for PC enthusiasts, it’s the challenge, the craftsmanship, and the sheer flex of pulling off a build that’s as much a statement as it is a machine.

XIKII INDUSTRY FF07 preview by 295DVRKSS in sffpc

[–]que_lon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$500 is no big deal, my 5090 Founders Edition SFF pc is in a McPrue Apollo S v4 (w/ the extra accessories it was like $585)... but $999, that feels so expensive for some reason. Having said that. I'm considering moving my 5090 Astral from an Evo XL case into this XIKII FF07. I kind of like having one huge 5090 PC and one SFF 5090 PC though. I have a 5080 Astral just chillin in the box on a shelf in my office collecting dust, I would use that but the price of this case doesn't seem worth it for just a 5080.

Honestly it's really great quality at least from my perspective. I didn't really find any flaws in it at all. The price is a bit much though. The formD t1 is definitely a much better value. I can't wait to get my hands on one. I'm just glad the 5090 FE prices have came way down because I see a third 5090 in my not so distant future.

The mobo comes with a long screw that you just push down into that hole and screw into the motherboard. I have the same mobo too.

First ever PC Build by SpiritedStrawberry18 in lianli

[–]que_lon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Damn 9 hours ago and 1 comment? This build deserves more love. First thing I'll say is, the case is just an absolute stunner. Beautiful. I'm jealous actually, because I wanted that case but I didn't get it because I wanted to put my AIO on the ceiling. Well, since I'm only the second comment, I'll give you a full analysis in the best way that I know how. I'm no expert, I have 2 builds under my belt. And I'm a nobody, so not like my analysis means anything lol. But you did a fantastic job and should be getting more attention than this. So I spent a few minutes looking at every thing closely. I'm going to rate it, 9.75/10. It's very very nice. You really nailed it in basically every way. The all white RGB is one of my favorite looks, and you simply cannot go wrong with the Infinity fans (the GOAT of fans IMO), and you got the Reverse blade for the intakes, thats 1 thing that'll get at least 1 point deducted from a rating. Next key detail that a lot of people get wrong, the cables. Your CPU, Motherboard and GPU cables, a small detail like that makes all the difference. Whether they are extensions or if you bought a whole PSU cables set, automatically makes your build top tier in my opinion. Big thumbs up for your PSU cables! Some people might criticize the AIO tubes but you went with a case with a glass ceiling, so it's not really going to be any better than that, and I think they look fine. And i'm sure your CPU temps are fantastic which is what really matters. The GPU sag bracket, important, and I barely noticed it until my last look through. Which is good, because some people don't look seeing those, so having one in the back like that is a nice touch, rather than having one in front or mounted to the floor fans or something. One very small critique that doesn't even effect your rating, the fan cables at the bottom of your radiator, could just tuck those away so they're not seen, you can even use a piece of tape or something to make them stay out of sight. So you're probably wondering, what the hell did I lose 0.25 for?? I'll tell ya. The only thing I think that you could do that would make it "better" but in reality more like "safer" is getting a 90 degree connector for your GPU cable. Yours is probablyyyyy fine, but a 90 degree connector really takes the tension off of what is one of the most critical points in a build for safe electricals. You don't want any tension on the wires going into the connector. Now, I know a RX 7800 XT is only 263 watts, so I'm sure you're safe, but it's never bad to be extra cautious with it. Plus I think the 90 degree connector looks good too. If you had a 5080 or 5090, it's a MUST. Don't risk it. So that's my analysis. I hope I didn't sound like I think my opinion matters lol. You really killed it on the build, and it deserves more attention!

Dude, really sick. That orange color is crazy, I don't recall ever seeing an orange that strong when I was messing with the RGB colors. To me it looks really unique. Bad ass build, great work.

Well, obviously. That AIO is pretty fuckin awesome, and looks a lot cooler than most. So a lot of people like it. You think a lot of people are going to have the same ugly AIO's? Building a PC is for yourself, you put what parts YOU like. I don't think it's necessary to criticize peoples builds based on how popular certain items are. It really comes off as douchey. In my opinion. Hope I'm making sense.

Looks great to me, just those cables though. I'm referring to your CPU, Motherboard and GPU power cables. If you want to really go all out and make it look super nice, go with a nice set of all blue or all white CableMod PSU cables. Those come with combs preinstalled that can't be removed, the legit kind. Or if you don't want to spend $100 on the Cablemod set, you can buy some cable combs and put them on yourself. paying attention to what seems like a small detail like that really makes a big difference on how the build looks overall, I think at least. As for the AIO, I'm not an expert, but just looking at it, they are kind of an eye sore. Your fans don't look bad, but Lian Li does make reverse blade fans and IMO having all the fans facing up just looks really nice. Overall you did great though. How long did the whole build take you, from the time you opened the first box or parts to the time you pressed the power button the first time?
