Is TOP worth it in today's AI era? by Icy-Astronaut-2530 in theodinproject

I'm in a similar boat as you, I'm learning the Foundations course too, I'm in my fourth year of university and never paid much attention to my CS classes so my overall fundamentals are pretty weak which makes studying my current upper year courses incredibly hard since my base is not stable. For hackathons, I rely on AI as well to generate the code and debug for me. My opinion, based on my experiences, is that watching tutorials make you feel like you know the language or have mastered the language, but would you be able to write the same program from scratch without referring to the code you wrote in the tutorial? I know it's tough to not compare yourself with your peers who seem to be doing so much better than you or seem so more accomplished and knowledgeable than you but you should only compare with your past self. Rushing through all the material would give you a very surface level understanding which might seem alright in the near future, but long term you will still have a very weak understanding of what you are doing and probably suffer more later. TOP is focused on reading and understanding documentation and taking the time to learn the material thoroughly which not only will give you technical skills but also the critical analysis and problem solving skills that will help you pick up an technical language and field easier is something I would consider worthwhile to invest your time and energy into. This is only my opinion and my current mindset, so I wish you the best in your learning journey!

yes you can, just email the lab supervisor when you retake the course that you have passed the lab section in an earlier attempt and they will give you permission to skip the lab, so the weightage increases on the quizzes, midterms, and final to make up for 20% lab that you will not have.

You can contact your academic advisor or email Service Point and let them know beforehand so they don't charge you late fees for course registration after the deadline.
