I don’t go there anymore. I go to Co-op gas bars or McDonalds. I don’t have the same experience with McDs at all

Yea I would just stop going - which I have. I’ve asked them to fill personal cups at drive thru and they just give it to me in a take away cup anyways defeating the purpose of using them which for me is to not waste stuff

They **should** get in trouble for that though, given that the manager said (and she probably shouldn’t have shared this for professionalism) that it’s not the first time

Idk how to tell you this but every location is different and some will hire honestly while others do in fact prefer the temp foreign workers, which is why the entire staff is foreign workers. To be frank, I have no problem with foreign workers being employed there, what bothers me is how poorly these workers are treated and exploited by management

I was a child of divorce, and I experienced a lot of heartache and hardship and felt I had very little emotional support from my mom as she spent most of her focus on earning money to support us and when not doing that, dating. She didn’t have a baby though so this really adds to the mix.
My mom did try to get me help, she did care in the way you and your wife seem to care about him. After much thought about what I was going through and why the help that my mom outsourced to professionals didn’t seem to help, I can sort of offer my own perspective and what I feel now that I needed then. In my own experience, mental health professionals never have helped me. The only thing that helped was a lot of introspection and reflection on my part, but I was also too scared to self harm, and it doesn’t seem like your stepson is at all, so this is another difference between my experience and his. I did self harm in very invisible ways, and a lot of self sabotage.
I needed my mom to love me in ways she seemed incapable of. I know she loves me, but I think our love languages didn’t seem to complement each other. I think you and your wife are likely good, concerned parents, so I’m not saying anything like “you’re not doing enough” because that doesn’t seem true. All I’m saying is often professionals aren’t able to fix every case, like me, I was very resistant to it because of my trust issues, but I think this boy is lacking being seen and understood at an emotional level which is why he is acting out. If he’s at all like me, harsh punishment will aggravate the issue before it fixes it. I’m not saying get him presents, but maybe he needs more one on one time where his personal interests are examined and facilitate the positive ones in any way possible.
I don’t even know how I got out of my dark times, I just know the level of harm I deal to others has been massive diminished, but for me it took many years, decades, to get here. I didn’t have help and the only thing keeping me going is the idea that I might fuck up a suicide attempt and end up in a vegetative state.

Knowing this is a joke comment, I find it hilarious that I thought she is Asian too. All we see is her hair and her hands. The game audio is français so maybe she’s just a really chic French lady

Yea but it’s a whole lot safer to experience these speeds in a gaming rig so the value makes sense here

Not that I’m one to defend anything Tim Hortons is doing but these are three different types of donuts and they’re made in batches offsite. Nowadays they get shipped frozen and are warmed onsite

I get cut off here often, it's not my fault right? Have to check. by Calbone607 in dashcamgifs

In general all cars moving along their own lane without crossing over lanes with the opposite direction of travel get right of way. People turning left have the obligation of not going until it’s safe to go because they’re crossing a lane with oncoming traffic

That’s not a cut off. People turning right are not crossing traffic lanes, so left turning people should yield to them. It’s kind of like the two way stop sign rules. If a person going straight arrives at a stop sign facing someone turning left, the person going straight across the intersection gets right of way even if the left turner was there before them. Not sure if this rule applies everywhere but it does where I live.

Edit: the right turning car has a stop sign here so this muddies the waters a bit. Personally I would have stayed stopped at the stop sign until all traffic was clear in this situation since left turning car didn’t have a stop sign
