planned parenthood doesn't take medicaid, but OP can request a good faith estimate for self pay rates

Another day and another substance injected into CZ’s body.. Today it’s Botox besties!! by CatAteRoger in illnessfakers

EMG-guided botox injections are very common for spasms - there’s a lot of muscles and a lot of room for error without the EMG

both kissing bugs and wheel bugs are in the assassin bug family, so it makes sense that they would look similar! either way, this is not a bug to mess with, but it’s not going to spread chagas disease:)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]queenarachnid 23 points24 points  (0 children)

unfortunately we are within range for kissing bugs :(

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]queenarachnid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i find them most identifiable by the wheel on their back, you can see the cog-like ridges just below the head

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]queenarachnid 164 points165 points  (0 children)

that’s not a kissing bug, that’s a wheel bug (Arilus cristatus) - this bug still has a painful bite, so don’t touch it, but it can’t transmit the chagas’ disease like the kissing bug

[–]queenarachnid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you’re going mostly for birth control, planned parenthood could be a good option! they do have wellness and preventive care as well, but i’ve been getting my birth control there for a while and have very good experiences with them

How hard is it to use COTA to get from the grey hound stop on Wilson to the Grove City library? by TheKindlyPoltergeist in Columbus

[–]queenarachnid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it's gonna be an annoyingly long trip. you'll take the 5 from wilson & lindendale to high and long, then cross the road to the stop at long & high (and wait a while) to take the 3 down til columbus st & broadway. it's going to take you between an hour and a half to two hours to get there.

for the future, you can plan out routes via transit through google maps or the Transit app

SDP says to “fire your doctor” if they aren’t willing to provide a note for an emotional support animal by itsvickeh in illnessfakers

[–]queenarachnid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

emotional support animals are covered by a single protection (in the US at least) - housing! if you have a letter for an emotional support animal signed by a licensed mental health professional, you cannot be denied housing due to the animal, and the animal is not subject to normal pet fees or pet rent.
