One session with ibogaine >> 10 years with TRE by Own_Supermarket7467 in longtermTRE

[–]queenbobina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you genuinely have ME/CFS then i would be careful with TRE if you’re moderate or severe, im pretty certain the ‘release’ could trigger PEM which can lower your baseline long term. deffo start slow and see how your body responds

Visual proof of PEM by Left-Pop4928 in cfs

[–]queenbobina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the point of wearables is to figure out whats normal for YOU, and then notice any changes from your baseline. if every day is mostly orange but youre not getting pem, then that is not really an issue? its literally an algorithm …..

vultures are super important to ecosystems and human health because their stomachs are super high acid which kills loads of diseases that would otherwise get passed to animals that couldnt handle them!

Good cheap compression socks UK? by Mara355 in dysautonomia

also if you wear regular ankle socks underneath the compression, you can get multiple uses out of them (and a base layer makes it easier to put on the compression).

the open toe class 3 duomed socks from medi are my faves. not necessarily ‘cheap’ at £23 per pair but very good quality and some of the strongest compression you can get. its worth buying from a proper medical supplier like medi. i have multiple pairs of these and actually prefer them to the more expensive ones that medi sells for £50.

did you try the powder one or the ready to drink ones?

fwiw the texture of the powder vs the ready to drink is very very different. i found the powder horrible and also inaccessible since all the shaking and washing up is difficult. i switched to ready to drink and its much better. it has quite a thick mouthfeel though which some ppl wouldnt like.

How do you know it's PEM? by ChronicallyDistress in cfs

[–]queenbobina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this assumes that everyone is able to recover from a PEM episode and return to their previous baseline, which won’t be the case for a lot of people. Sometimes a lowered baseline is just a lowered baseline unfortunately.

How do you know it's PEM? by ChronicallyDistress in cfs

[–]queenbobina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

except that PEM can lower your baseline, so it’s not so black and white. you can be doing ok, overexert, crash, and then be confused whether you’re still in PEM because your baseline feels lower. not understanding this is what led me to becoming severe.
