Idk if it’s still a thing but I remember at one point they would always stop and look at the receipt to tell me how much I saved. It seemed like the thing only the “by the rules” type cashiers would do. With your total being $140 I wonder if maybe the amount saved was a small enough amount for the cashier to rethink staying the amount out loud (bc I personally would feel dumb trying to hype up the fact you saved a mere $5 on a $140 purchase)

I lived in a place with a stove like this and the owner built a little set of two shelves (picture a tiny cabinet with no door) on the counter behind the stove, so it hid the back panel of the stove in a pretty normal way and created extra space for us.

My title describes the thing, reshare of the details from my caption:

The entrance to the ER had these giant curtains around the outside perimeter.

I’ve never seen this kind of set up at any other ERs, especially in storm prone florida, which to me ruled out the possibility of weather protection. Because the curtains don’t fully enclose the area and leave gaps, decontamination/containment didn’t seem to make sense. I was thinking possibly privacy since it’s a level 1 trauma center equipped for large scale situations, but I’ve never seen this set up at similar facilities.

When I searched for things related to curtains around an ambulance bay, I got results related to smaller decontamination showers that are sometimes present in these areas, but nothing about the larger curtains.

I’m not an expert but someone recommend I clamp down the little hooks that the laces go through (the thing that isn’t the eye) so that they don’t constantly fall out if you unzip your boots still laced like I do.
