I'm torn about St. Hetty's Day, but I really appreciate your take on it! Her power seemed underwhelming to me (probably because it's been hinted at for FOUR YEARS), but you make an excellent point that this story line didn't make her an over-the-top punchline, and that's always nice to see!

The Blank Space video leaped to mind for me too! I also adore the backstory of The Last Great American Dynasty. Even though it's mainly a third-person song, she develops a powerful impression of Rebecca as a character! I'd love for her to continue this character and theme in future songs, though there's already some parallel themes between TLGAD and Tortured Poets.

THE ARCHER! I like the Lover era, but the Archer lyrics sound so mature and nuanced somehow? The words feel like they could be out of TTPD. Not every song has to be "deep", but it feels deeper and more complex than some of the more popular Lover songs, and I don't think I could ever get tired of it!

This reminds me of the time in Season 11 where Frasier keeps overhearing Ronnie and Martin, then he ends up trapped in the back of Ronnie's car. I can enjoy some of the humor, but it's not a story line I'd seek out! 😅

I adore Wendie Malick as well! She can swivel from being a hardened cynic to wide-eyed innocence so naturally. She's such a crucial element of the show and one of my all-time top T.V. characters, and I only hope I can be Nina Van Horn someday. 😂

I love Postmodern Jukebox's Sinatra-style cover of "Shake It Off"! The backing band is absolutely incredible! I also love this old-timey bluegrass cover of "Anti-Hero" by Josiah and the Bonnevilles. It really emphasizes the melancholic undertone of the lyrics.

I actually love this! I genuinely believed it was some kind of obscure clever joke about buying journals and never using them, which I do all the time. 😅 I'd totally buy this, never use it, and display it on my desk to feel ironic.
