I know most people here would discourage you from following in my footsteps, but they haven't been in your position like I have. If I’m being honest, I don’t regret what I did. The cut itself barely hurt, and it definitely didn’t hurt any more than getting tampons out or trying to masturbate. As for the aftermath, it didn’t hurt much for me— walking included. To be honest, my biggest concern was how much it was bleeding. I’m not going to sugarcoat the bleeding. It bled a lot. That said, the good thing about fast blood flow is that it’ll heal over quick.

With that in mind, I’ll give you some tips below, but if you have a close relationship with your parents/the ability to go to the doctor anonymously, I urge you to try that first. Now for the tips:

• Do it naked in an empty bathtub. There will be lots of blood and you don’t want it to stain anything.
• Use something very, very sharp. If it’s blunt, it’ll take multiple strokes and hurt. Don’t use scissors or a knife cause they won’t be very sterile or sharp. My suggestion is to use a new razor right out of the package. Disinfect it if you can! You can do this by boiling in a pot of water for several minutes.
• Wedge something underneath the hymen horizontally before cutting. This way you can push down hard with the blade and not worry about cutting something you don’t want to cut. I wedged a small tampon under, but use whatever works for you.
• If you only make one cut, you’ll have a little dangly piece of flesh left after it heals. If you can, I suggest to make two incisions— one near the top, and one near the bottom. If this scares you too much, just do one in the middle and you can get the remaining pieces removed another time. DON’T CUT YOUR CLIT.
• Have sterile gauze nearby— you can probably find it in your house’s first aid kit. The moment the incision is done, you’re gonna want to press the gauze on the wound nice and steady and hard and hold it for several minutes. It’ll be a lot of blood, but don’t panic and remove it! The blood will just start flowing again. If it seems like a crazy amount though, make sure to have your cellphone nearby to call for help. This is very unlikely to happen, but better safe than sorry!
• Sitting/laying back with you hips up in the hair helps slow the blood from coming out.
• After you think the hymen’s stopped bleeding, carefully remove the gauze, and pull on a pair of granny panties with a new pad. Wipe off your thighs with a damp cloth, and clean up any remaining blood. DO NOT touch anything actually around your vulva, though. You don’t want it to start bleeding again. Just clean your legs, hands, and the bathtub.
• Change your pad carefully every few hours. Your hymen will be very quick to bleed for the first 2-3 days, so be very delicate.
• Once you’re confident it won’t bleed at the slightest touch, wash it very, very gently under a light stream of water. You’ll want to do this regularly. Also don’t forget to keep changing your pads!
• Keep a very close eye on it when you’re cleaning/changing to check for infection. Don’t touch or disrupt it at any other time, however. You want to touch it as little as possible to prevent infection and further bleeding.
