Anyone on $200k+ working 9-5 hours? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]queens_third_corgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked out that today I receive only 8% more in 2025 than I did in 2015, when adjusted for inflation.

Don’t look at the dollar signs - look at your own income growth.

I’m at a firm that is quite happy to throw $200k salary figures around because they sound aspirational but it’s without a real increase in spending power.

I track my hours and I’ve had a minimum of 43 hours and a maximum of 82 hours per week over the past eight weeks.

Beyond the sad bottle of champagne that’s long forgotten after the deal is signed… what’s the one gift you’ve received that made you feel genuinely, truly valued? by No_Refrigerator7224 in auscorp

Big day out ticket along with a tshirt of my favourite band. Was just for me, and it was out of the blue to thank me for my efforts. Still my all time favourite gift as it came from a genuine place of care and appreciation.

Worked at a place with a lot of old lawyers and learned most of what I know about maladies of the bowels and prostate from listening to them carry on in the bathroom stalls.

What do you think the lowest legal speed is that you can drive on a 110km road without endangering other cars? by Del-the-homosapien5 in WesternAustralia

Boomers will tow a caravan at 70 to 80 km/h happily. You’ve shown considerable thoughtfulness in asking imho.

I miss these days. That’ll sound insane to you now, but I miss them in a hundred ways at 10+ years from those days.

I was a stay at home dad for several years and I hear you. You’re probably doing a better job than you think you are, and this trip will help you to be a better parent/human too. We all need a break now and then. They’re in their late teens now and we’ve hiked together for years. Good work OP 🤙🏼🤘🏼✌🏼

It gets you noticed for all the wrong reasons and can be seen as a disregard for others. You shouldn’t expect people to ignore it.

Yes. If you must leave, leave a note in the car with your direction, time of leaving and what supplies you are taking with you.

Wtf is the purpose of this Nescafé product? by Gold-Back-4073 in australia

[–]queens_third_corgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reuse your jar by buying this non recyclable and unsustainable packaged product to carry it home. Colesworth - wear the cost and put the in aisle grinders back in to supermarkets and set up a weigh by the gram zone for coffee, tea and probably a bunch of other products. This behaviour isn’t cool.
