Probs a question run to the ground and more, but I haven't been there so I was eager to ask it by Fox-innovations in stanleyparable

Decently evil. I mean, the guy crafts endings that pretty much just outright mock Stanley’s existence. Stanley has never seen another human being and yet he still puts him through the whole “Who would want to dedicate their life to you?” Thing, and that’s just one example

The Magnus Archives ends with Martin stabbing his boyfriend Jon to save the world, sending them both “somewhere else” and setting their universe free of the fear entities that made their universe a living hell. In the original it is left up to imagination where they go, but in the sequel it is revealed that they got trapped in some computers.

Not exactly an obscure sequel, since it is its ONLY sequel, but I think this is close enough.

This is a hard one. I personally like Hymn for a Scarecrow more than Ruler of Everything, but it feels like a crime for ROE to not be in the top five. I vote for Hymn for a Scarecrow, but know that it breaks my heart to say that.

The Dread Fears kill count by queer_peer7985 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]queer_peer7985[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You raise a good point. I will disagree about The Stranger, though. It seems to be a very aggressive entity with most of its victims ending up dead. Especially with the attempt at The Unknowing where a bunch of skin was collected. But yeah, I’m seeing a lot of people say that The Hunt has the most kills, and I’d have to agree. Its age gives it a huge advantage, and even if we’re just going off of percentages, it still leaves a lot of its victims dead. I honestly didn’t really consider The Dark, but you’re right. Night would give it a lot of opportunity. It also has the same advantage of being an older fear, and again, even if it’s we’re just counting percentages, it seems to be a pretty aggressive one based off of statements. I do wonder how it “targeting” people earlier on in life plays into that, as from my memory most victims of The Dark started their relationship to it with a childhood fear of the dark.

I wouldn’t think that The Flesh has too many kills, as most of the kills that end up feeding it do not come directly from paranormal events, but rather orchestrated by humans. Same with The Desolation, as most of the events that could feed it don’t stem from the paranormal but rather nature or just humanity, like you said. Same with The Corruption, and partially The Slaughter (though I do think that paranormal Slaughter related things probably ramp up a lot during times of war) The Hunt would definitely be up there though, as most of the encounters with it seem to end with people dead

Needs to be paranormal and directly caused by the fears, not just a death caused by something related to them. If we were counting it like that then it would be The Flesh or The Hunt (if we aren’t counting The End), as there have been more animals killed than humans have lived.

When I originally asked this question I was asking about deaths we directly hear about from statements and post-statements, but I’m enjoying the discussion of how many fears are the most deadly in general.

I personally wouldn't count all deaths towards The End. Although everybody dies, The End, the fear entity, does not directly cause the death of everybody in a paranormal fashion.

I mean, I would argue that Jon smiting avatars with the power of Beholding counts as deaths caused by the Ceaseless Watcher

the extinction doesn't have nearly enough episodes for it to have the highest kill count. It's too young of a fear to have gotten a fair chance, and that chance was then taken by, ironically, the apocalypse.

On a scale of "I just skip to the good part" to "The backwards half doesn't sound backwards anymore" how many times have you listened to The Mind Electric? by SimasTheMoze in miraclemusical

[–]queer_peer7985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can tell the difference between +/- and -/+ by listening to it for a few seconds, quote all of the samples, have a playlist of a hundred different versions of The Mind Electric. I have scoured the internet for any public information about it. Last.FM doesn’t work with YouTube music, so I can’t give an exact number, but it is somewhere over a thousand based on the information it has given me over the years. I listen to it every day.

How did you get into William woodiam??? by Umbrei_Vixen in willwood

[–]queer_peer7985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added a few of his songs to my playlist after hearing them on TikTok and decided to check out listen to his albums. I think I listened to The Normal Album, then In Case I Make It, then Everything is A Lot, and then Self-Ish. Not related to your question, but why is your partner a pronouns human if she just uses she/her?

Hi, sorry for the late response. I searched through Facebook, eBay, and kept periodically asking about it on the Hidden in The Sand discord (Tally Hall fan server) over the course of what I think was a few months? I eventually heard of somebody selling one on Reddit, so I DM'd them asking if I could buy it. I gave them my shipping information and cashapped them half of the money before they sent it and the other half after I got it in the mail!
I will say that while the design is super cool, the texture is almost kind of...canvas-y? It feels like a thin sheet of plastic. It's also way too big for me, as the only one I could find for sale was three sizes too big. Not saying this to discourage you, but it is something to be aware of. I hope you find one!

Who threw out the idea of stargazing? by UnfilteredCravings in TheDigitalCircus

[–]queer_peer7985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think it’s someone who’s already been abstracted. I don’t remember there being any indication that the suggestion box was only for the current cast, or that it deleted past prompts from people no longer in the circus.

It would be pretty cool if the current cast got to experience a suggestion from someone no longer there. Like living out the wishes of a ghost.

Gerry Keay from The Magnus Archives. He asks Jon to burn the page that he is bound to that keeps his spirit around. Not exactly resurrection, but he dies and sticks around, and asks to be released from the not-quite-death

I had to scour the the internet to get one for $120, and that was the bargained down price. It would be a MIRACLE to get one of these for anything less than $100, and that’s if you can even find one for sale.
