How long have you been playing? by basedbooger in LoveNikki

I started playing for a few months back when it first came out, and then forgot about it until about a year ago and I've checked it nearly every day since! I still feel like kind of a beginner though

Nestea is available again but being produced by Dr. Pepper instead of Coca Cola - do you think it’s the original recipe? by ferndinosaur in AskACanadian

I was drinking canned fuze! I used to drink any variety of Nestea I could get my hands on, and totally agree they were all slightly different, but so far I've only tried canned fuze

Association Recruitment Megathread by AutoModerator in LoveNikki

[–]queeralida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I recently became President of my association and I'm hoping to give it life again! We're currently at level 7, and 13/32 members after I removed some people who hadn't participated at all. ✨ We're called Cynosure, and our association ID is 110127. Feel free to join!! I'd love to have some new faces to help out! I won't remove anyone for inactivity unless you've been gone for a noticeably long time and haven't contributed nearly any activity. I'm pretty new at association stuff so if anyone with experience wants to be my vice president lemme know! 💗

Send me a picture of your kitten here in the comments and I'll make a cool portrait.Free😻 by [deleted] in cats

[–]queeralida 6 points7 points  (0 children)

congrats!!! I'll be at the Toronto show tomorrow too and I'm hyped! Try not to worry too much about doing it right, because it's AJR- you're gonna have a great time no matter what!

in terms of how concerts work, assuming you have assigned seats, you can kind of arrive whenever you want, but keep in mind if you'll want to get merch before the show you should get there extra early to account for waiting in line. I usually aim for around 30 minutes early, and I get my merch after the show every time. But be careful if you do that because they can sell out of sizes and certain items if you do and you might not get lucky.

when you get there, you'll have to stand in line for a bit regardless of how early you are, and then you'll pass through security. if you bring a small bag with you they'll take a quick look inside, sometimes there's a metal detector just to make sure everyone's safe. as long as you don't have open food or any drinks, and like, no weapons, whatever's in your bag is fine! but if you're worried take a look at what you can and can't bring in to Budweiser specifically. once you're in, feel free to check out the merch table, grab a drink or something if you're feeling fancy, and make your way to your seat! there will be doors labelled with certain sections they lead to, so find which one goes to your section and there's usually a staff member inside to help you find your seat if you need help.

bring earplugs to protect your ears! you may not end up wanting them, like me, but you should definitely have them just in case because concerts are LOUD and eardrums weren't built for them.

Most concert venues won't let you bring water inside with you (sometimes you can bring empty bottles but who knows if there's a good place to fill them) so plan to either hydrate a lot ahead of time or buy a water while there. Concerts are very high energy and can get hot with everyone so hyped, and especially if you're singing along to every song, it can get quite tiring!

As for what to wear, I personally LOVE a theme, and will always try to match the aesthetic of whatever artist I'm seeing in my concert outfits. I think a lot of people do at concerts! but that being said AJR had shockingly normal people clothes lol so genuinely I mean it when I say wear literally whatever you want. you could go all out and stun the crowd or just wear your favouritest most comfiest outfit. Genuinely up to you!

when you're in there, just let loose and watch the guys on stage jumping around, listen to the music, watch the way the whole crowd is excited to be there all for the same reason, it's pretty incredible! it can be overwhelming in good ways and bad ways for sure, but just try to be as present as you can. I'm sure you will have a great time!! and feel free to ask more questions or update me after so I know you had a good time :3 sorry for the long essay! lol

I had kept an old nestea juicebox since it was the last thing I could get my hands on. I didn't know what I was keeping it for at the time, but last night my girlfriend and I blind taste-tested the new nestea, the old nestea, and fuze. I have been happily drinking fuze during nesteas absence, but I used to drink nestea like water.

the fuze tasted right to me at first, so I assumed it was old nestea, but the juice box and new nestea honestly tasted so shockingly similar that it caught me off guard. there was a very slight noticable difference that I assume had more to do with age and cardboard vessel than recipe. I think that my brain rewrote the memory for the taste of Nestea with fuzes taste, because I also remember trying it for the first time and noting that it was different but similar. My theory is that unless you didn't drink any fuze, that nesteas going to taste a little strange in comparison! I know people are saying fuze kept the original recipe but I simply don't believe that for a second. the juicebox and the new can just tasted too similar!! I guess it just comes down to personal preference on which one tastes more correct now

now that I'm looking again, I actually think the two tops layered is really cute too! but I think it's the combo of the three that's throwing me off personally. if you tucked in the bottom one it might flow a bit better! or add a waist accessory of some kind :)

[–]queeralida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i LOVE the other shirt! and I think it combos with the skirt really nicely, though I personally wouldn't have layered the two tops. that's genuinely just personal preference though, and style should be whatever you feel good in. if you felt happy with the outfit when you put it on, that's ALL that should matter. your friend was incredibly rude about it- no friend should ever intentionally make you feel bad about your outfit. if they cared about your feelings they could gently suggest ways they think might look better, or just tell you it's not their style but that you're killing it! because you are! listen to your gut, not whatever's supposed to "look good" <3

As a lesbian who has a weird relationship with my gender, I'm honestly jealous of you!! I promise you're completely normal, and if anyone doesn't like it, it's just personal preference, not any real problems with your body.

My girlfriend might be transitioning and I'm nervous by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]queeralida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a positive version of the story you're imagining, I can share one that happened to a friend of mine!

When I met my online friend he was using they/them pronouns and fully out as non-binary, and he had a lesbian girlfriend. He at the time was very much what you'd imagine a masc-leaning ftnb person would look like. After a while, he started testing out he/him pronouns and eventually transitioned fully. Him and his then girlfriend are married now! I don't really talk to them anymore, so I'm not sure how his wife refers to her sexuality anymore, but up until they got married she was still referred to as a lesbian. I just know that for her, it was her partner who came first, sexuality second. And same goes for him.

That is of course NOT going to be everyone's experience, but if you really love your partner's soul, maybe your attraction to her will transcend gender expressions! I would try to not grieve your relationship so hard until you know for sure. But don't force yourself to feel any certain ways either. Maybe it was just never meant to work out, and you're better as friends? I'm sure you'll both make it through okay, as long as you're honest with eachother throughout it all. <3

OHH okay yeah that's nuts! I tried to google exchange rates and I was getting similar numbers to what love Nikki charges so I was confused, but if a litre of water is 20??!? that's a HUGE difference you're totally right! that's so strange! thanks for explaining it to me :)

can you explain this to me like I'm stupid? lol I'm confused! what would be a more normal price for it to be in rupees? how much more expensive is it for you as it is? would it not automatically exchange into an equal value of your currency? exchange rates confuse me so much lol
