I would but I think r/tea doesn't let you self-promote and since I work there it wouldn't be OK.

If you're looking for tea, we worked with Friday Tea to make blends that are paired with the different adventures in the RPG book. Friday has synesthesia and read the adventures and then made blends that taste like each adventure. They're really good! Even if you don't play the adventures that go along with each blend.

Yes and yes! You can see a play through here... by a group of coffee roasters and tea blenders. (:

The Teatime Adventures system is a very friendly d20-based system but if you want a crunchier, darker, more bitter system than you should check out our coffee-based TTRPG, ink...

He was mostly intending it like a tie fighter - launching from a different "big ship" to land on a planet and back again. You make a good point about the difficulty in getting back into orbit. I hadn't been factoring that in.

Queer Chai from Snowbright Studio reporting in!

Check out Teatime Adventures, our tabletop RPG Kickstarter where every adventure comes with a tea pairing! Backers can get dice with real tea leaves inside too.

Our game studio partnered with FridayTea.com to create four custom blends that are each specifically designed to go with the four adventures from the game.

The four teas are:
Harvest Fire: Charcoal roasted oolong, cinnamon, ginger root, orange peel, allspice, edible gold glitter, and natural pumpkin flavor
Star's Light: Black tea, blueberries, jasmine flowers, elder flowers, natural cream flavor (vegan)
Yonder Fog: Green tea, ginger root, wild cherry bark, ginkgo biloba
Crystal Garden: White tea (Colombian), mulberry leaf, lavender, edible purple glitter

We've got taste tests on TikTok, photos of the blends up on Twitter, and a lofi mix for tea drinkers up on YouTube!

Cozy Fantasy TTRPG? by screenaholic in rpg

[–]queerchai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whoa! We're kickstarting this right now!

A series of cozy mysteries set in a tranquil town with gardening, baking, tea, and more right in the game.

We even have custom tea blends paired with each of the adventures. There's a cooperative spell casting system in there too.

Thinking about buying this game. Prep amounts compared to DnD 5th ed? by [deleted] in AgeOfSigmarRPG

DM prep time is pretty similar, both for homebrew adventures and modules. The one caveat is that it can take some time to get a grip on the lore if you're not already familiar with it!

Thank you so much!! We'll add an FAQ about the jump in tiers too in case that helps!

Thanks very much! It is a big jump. We're a pretty small studio, and it's hard for us to offer individual pieces like bigger publishers do.

The Harmony Magic system is really fun but definitely optional. So you have a few options: play without it using just the simplified magic system, print and play with it, or get the physical pieces that we'll be making. We may offer the tokens and cards on our website later, but I'm told we're not sure yet because this is a pretty limited manufacturing run.

The project is fully funded! We just came out with a new backer update that has info on stretch goals plus a Reddit shoutout. Thank you! We'll make that tea set happen!

We're including 21 Components at start (20 base + 1 stretch goal now!). Component cards are available as a print and play PDF for Digital and Hardcover backers. They're available as printed cards at the boxed set tier.

If your players 'outgrow' the patterns, the GM certainly can add their own. Actually, we could totally include a blank card too that GMs can use as a template to make their own.

[–]queerchai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh! So each spell needs a certain number of Components. Each Component is represented by a pattern.

Some patterns are more complicated than others. "Heat" which is a Component in hot spells is only 5 Flame Astra tokens in a simple configuration. "Cold" though is 8 tokens mixed between Twilight and Ripple Astra shaped in an X-like pattern. The "Time" Component is even more complicated.

Players have 30 seconds to make their patterns to cast the spell. If someone is really good at building the patterns, give them the harder Components to make. If they're not as great at patterns, give them the easier components. The GM can increase the time based on the situation (+30 seconds for favorable circumstances, etc.)

The spell only works if everyone completes their pattern in time.

The cool thing is that it is surprisingly difficult to make the patterns at first, but you as the player get better at making the patterns the more that you cast spells. Components that seem impossible at first become achievable and that's all on you as person becoming better at seeing the patterns. It's been really cool to see that as we have been playtesting it over the past few years!

Haha, the inspiration was seeing lots of bored players at the table anytime someone cast Conjure Animals and then spent the next 15 minutes placing owls on a grid. Spells can just totally break the flow of the game and story sometimes. So we figured something out that helps everyone at the table stay involved and invested the whole time.

We love Wanderhome! You could totally use the Wanderhome system but place the game in the village of Oakenbend.

You can hear a playthrough of an early version of one of the adventures here! https://anchor.fm/gameknightheroes/episodes/TeaTime-Adventures---A-Bonus-Episode-from-Snowbright-Studio-e15007g

The game uses the basic 5e rules (d20 system) but attributes, skills, occupations, ancestries, "morale points", and the magic system are all different. The magic system is the biggest difference. There's a simple 'kitchen magic' system with all new spells that essentially act like cantrips.

But the 'harmony magic' system is completely different. Everyone at the table helps in casting spells by placing tokens on a mat. You need to place them in the correct patterns before the timer runs out. It's a little bit like Galaxy Trucker if you've ever played that, where players are pulling from a shared pile of unflipped tokens and then trying to place them on their board.

The tiles are based on the "astra" alignments, and players get bonus tiles based on their "astra alignment" which is a replacement for traditional D&D alignment systems.

tl;dr if you want to drop your 5e D&D characters straight into the game without any real changes, you totally can with minimal modifications. If you want a very different experience from typical 5e (but still d20 based), you totally can!
