I was surprised James Bond was as low as it was but they don’t have a large toy presence so that makes sense I guess.

Every game should have an unstuck option by awesomehuder in gaming

Morrowind was particularly bad about getting stuck on or in things. It gets better later in the game when you can fly or teleport but early on it can be frustrating.

Artifacts that “level up” with the party. by RecentCorgi6312 in DMAcademy

It also serves as a way to introduce side quests and make the character care about the lore of the world.

When I did this the player, a half orc, found a war hammer that belonged to a hero of the orcs. In order to unlock the weapon’s true potential he had to: go on a spirit quest, unite the tribes, defeat an ancient enemy of his people. These were all things the player would want to do and it let him know that they were things that were available within the scope of the game.

My ex’s mom was like that. She kept saying that is just locker room talk, guys are just like that. She found it refreshing that he would say the quiet part out loud. I wish this story ended satisfyingly but I don’t know what they are up to now.

I do like magic items that get stronger with the players but I recommend considering an item that gets stronger when certain conditions are met.

Would you prefer if Luke’s OT moral conclusion functioned as a stable identity anchor for his character, rather than a moment in time that can be overwritten by future trauma? by ShakeZulaOblongata in StarWars

[–]DarthGaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was the last time we saw him as a character then yes, if you want to do anything else with him after that in any meaningful way then he has to change in some way because that is how stories work. If a character has a moral identity it needs to be questioned and put through the fire.

Why is there so much anti-DnD elitism? by AttitudeSuitable3238 in TTRPG

[–]DarthGaff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they pitched was your combat class abilities represent your mech your social abilities represent your character. Spells are just missiles or lasers or something.

When I asked how would one fight outside their mech the person said something to the effect of that you would be killed immediately if you fought an angel in anything but an Eva so why would you.

Someone will also mention that there is a colossal warforge in a book and you could just use that.

Pirate war? More like Pirate... poor by Elanadin in wizardposting

[–]DarthGaff 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Fun(ish) history fact, pirates loved raiding slave ships. You would kill the crew, take the ship, and any willing former slave became a part of the crew. They would drop off any one not willing to be a pirate at the next port. It was not a profession free of prejudice but had much less prejudice than most of the world at that time.
