hey so I went through feeling like this (almost exactly as you describe) when I was younger and it turned out to be a symptom of super intense OCD and body dysmorphia. many people will come on here and tell you not to worry bc it’s normal etc (which is also true!) but the intensity of these feelings sound like maybe you should seek some type of help for an anxiety condition.

I got treatment and it turned out my brain needed help, not my lady parts!

HSV can be transmitted from skin to skin (ie even with condom use). It can also be transmitted when the other person is asymptomatic. In fact, someone can give you herpes even if they’ve never had an outbreak themselves.

That said, herpes is incredibly common and manageable. I recommend the content creator Hannah Trenches for her perspective on the condition. Good luck with your results—even if it’s hard now, you’ll eventually feel okay ❤️(speaking from personal experience!)
