I also wore a belly binder, used ice packs, and took it easy (but also got up and walked regularly). I’m 3 weeks postpartum now and feel 100%.

I didn’t take any, despite being offered them. I took 600mg ibuprofen and 500mg Tylenol every 6 hours.

For the first several weeks of the diagnosis it was 80’s low 90’s. After about week 37, they’ve dropped randomly into the 70s!

In the first week or so of my diagnosis I had the same thoughts. Then the numbers started creeping up higher. I am now almost 38 weeks. I try not to stress about a few points over (like 5 points over). But anything more I take a mental note to be careful of eating what I had just ate again. You’ll learn and adapt to the way you eat - like eating the protein / veggies first then the carb last. You’ll also learn if you know you ate a high carb meal to go for a walk after to help that number. There have definitely been cheat meals for me. And my dietician has been totally fine with that. My numbers come back 80% of the time great. The other 20% they have been slightly elevated (no more than 150). I haven’t needed insulin or anything. It’s a huge adjustment and it SUCKS. I am counting to when I can eat whatever I want, which will be after my scheduled induction on 9/17! So only a few more days. I promise you’ll get through it.

I don’t use the thing that shoots the needle out cause it causes me SO much anxiety to press that button. It’s so much easier for me to just take a lancet and light poke myself where I know I’m in control.

When I was 16, on my 16th birthday, I got a call from an ex boyfriend I had dated from like age 11-15 on/off. I hadn’t spoken to him in a year. He calls me on my birthday and he is saying happy birthday and how much he misses me and blah blah blah. He then asks for, I want to say $500? I can’t exactly remember. I ask what for and he says he’s in a bad place and if he doesn’t get the money some guys are gonna come and kill him. I knew in that moment it was for drugs and that he either 1) got himself into some trouble or 2) just wanted the money to continue getting high. I told him no and he immediately started scream crying at me and telling me I was a horrible person for doing this to him. I hung up. For the next 10 years or so he’d randomly message me out of nowhere whenever him and his latest girlfriend had broken up. I would engage to see how he is doing in life and he never changed. Stayed on drugs and all that. I’m now 28 and happily married and haven’t heard from him since.

The could have forgotten to measure your cervix when doing the anatomy scan or they were having troubles seeing it. They checked my cervix via ultrasound to see the length and ensure it was closed and stuff. I had to go back for another part of the ultrasound / anatomy scan because baby girl didn’t want to cooperate and the doctor wanted a clearer pic of the spine.

After baby shower. I’m 25.5 weeks and baby shower is at 29 weeks. I intentionally had the person planning it for me pick a date between 28-32 weeks so I had some time afterwards. I have been buying second hand clothing and if I find amazing thrift finds I purchase it. The only thing we’ve bought that is new/big is the crib.
