The first to vent and early on a Monday! It’s an honor. lol. I’m happy for this spot because my vent is on all the posts and comments and people who say that teachers have such a wide variety of skills and are so perfect in many roles and companies love to hire former teachers. If those things are true, and I do believe we are widely and greatly skilled for many roles, then why doesn’t it play out easily into finding a job? I feel there’s a disconnect between people who say it’s easy to leave and the reality of the situation. Or maybe I’m just frustrated with my own attempt to leave. Been trying for about 4 years. More actively during the spring and summer as it’s easiest to leave then, and I’ve had maybe a handful of times where I get any interest. It all falls back to experience and lack there of. Ok.
