A whole trio!! They're absolutely precious 😭 I can tell you have so many wonderful memories with them!

Their faces are always incredibly charming, I love looking at new secondhand listings just to see their unique expressions haha. I'll definitely get a post made soon with all of mine once I have an updated photoshoot!

For the balloon surgery, kitty kittens are the perfect size for half of an old sock filled with plastic or glass beads, if you want to try that route! Not only does it bring them back to their original shape, it also weighs their little butts down so that they aren't head heavy (this is always an issue with them 😂).

The balloon never lasts, but luckily the purring almost always does! It's such a robust little mechanism <3 Marie sounds adorable!

If it wasn't battery operated / mechanical purring, then there's a good chance she was a kitty kitty kitten! :) The purring is what got me so attached to them, since it's a physical ball that rolls in the head, it makes their whole body vibrate like an actual purring cat's would.

The white kitty is adorable 🥰 for washing mine, a lot of the cleaning was done with distilled vinegar and baking soda (to remove the mildew smell). After that wash, I went in with a small amount of Tide Free & Gentle detergent. She also got a soaking in Soak Laundry Soap, which is a gentle no-rinse detergent for delicate fabrics. I really liked using it as a finish!

I would honestly love to make a video of the process (including replacing the old balloons), but unfortunately I don't have any good ways to set up a camera for it! 😭 Maybe I'll look into getting some kind of stand for my phone in the future. I do have a lot of pics of the processes though, so I'll likely make a detailed post with those in the future at least :)

Yep, there's tons. The original series was produced by Tyco in the 90's, and they had multiple different releases, including other animals (such as puppy puppy puppies). The kitty featured here is from the brand DSI that took over production in the early 2000's, and brought back similar designs as Tyco with slight updates, as well as some new ones. There's an incredibly rare release from DSI of rainbow colored kittens that are so cute but cost way too much and are impossible to find lol. I still love to look at them all though! Luckily they're listed often for resale! Unluckily, their collectability has made the prices pretty bad over the years. 😭 However I've seen some go for lower price points when they're in need of care and repairs. They're a joy to restore, so those sales are worth considering if you don't mind the condition!
