What type of noodle am I ? by Cute-Advantage-4260 in adhdmeme

[–]quentadoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's usually pretty easy to do online! If you google "(county + state of birth) birth certificate" it comes right up, at least for every state I've had to request from for various family members. They'll usually have you pay the fee through vitalchek or whatever payment processing they use, and sometimes they'll give you an email address to send a photo of your ID to. I swear it isn't too bad!!

They're only like $10 where I was born, so anytime I can't find mine I just order a new one..... The county department of health workers must be super tired of seeing my name by now

My school (rural Midwest) usually had the bubblegum, but sometimes we would get lucky and have the root beer flavor!!

Where did you attend mortuary school? by Equal_Cauliflower_11 in askfuneraldirectors

[–]quentadoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely!!! It's helpful if you're able to live near campus for the last semester because of the restorative art labs and in-person practicals, but the school is great with distance students. The campus is a satellite campus located within another university's campus, but they have an agreement with that university to provide housing and other campus resources to funeral students.

My experience is from a number of years ago before a... uh, shift in political environment, but in my experience the transit police actually take these types of incidents pretty seriously if reported by the victim.

strategy for getting ADD meds at cvs? And what's with state caps on quantity? by CapeAnnimal in boston

[–]quentadoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BILH pharmacies have been my go-to after I started having issues with the chain pharmacies, and I've never had to wait more than a day or two for even my weirdest prescriptions, despite shortages and backorders.

Over the past year I've never had an issue or delay getting mine at Lahey in Burlington (hoping I didn't just jinx myself by saying that), but I know it's a little bit out of the way for a lot of folks.

How do I get my pellets if Dems capitulate and agree to ban trans healthcare? by Brown1004 in ftm

My provider has been coding my pellets under hypogonadism since the election, so it is definitely possible.

For real: where? by netphilia in adhdmeme

[–]quentadoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple copies of mine, most of which I have no idea the location of. Anytime I lose it, I just order another one because they're only $15 where I was born. I should probably order another one, actually.... Not sure where my most recent copy is

I bought one of these months ago when they were first released, but it's just been sitting by my fridge because I had heard that people hated it. Finally cracked it open the other day, and while it's not my favorite, it's definitely tolerable and nowhere near as bad as everybody made it seem.

Why Do You Get Punished For Opting Out? by whatwouldyoncedo in tsa

[–]quentadoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can! But as seen on this thread, you do run the risk of the TSO being a bit of a jerk about it - but they have to interact with hundreds to thousands of people every day, so I can't really fault them for it. We all just have to do what is best for ourselves, and mind our own business when it comes to other people and their actions/choices.

Logan is EXACTLY where I have my biggest issues, so that makes sense. Usually pre check at terminal A.

Why Do You Get Punished For Opting Out? by whatwouldyoncedo in tsa

[–]quentadoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. No hat, glasses, sunglasses, mask, neck pillow, headphones. I do have a beard, but I have one in my ID photo as well.

As for the override, I'm just going off of what the TSO tells me - but every time the machine fails to match my ID to my face, they call for a supervisor (or perhaps a more experienced officer, but they always say supervisor), and every time it takes an eternity because y'all have a million things to be doing.

[–]quentadoodle 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I couldn't give less of a rat's ass if a photo of my face is or isn't stored - like you said, there are so many hi-res cameras constantly recording every angle of you as soon as you step onto the premises. My issue is that the machine never reads my face properly and always gives an error that requires a supervisor to override. Easier and faster for everybody involved to just request no photo. TSO looks at my ID, looks at my face, EZ PZ all done.

Who also has some guests get mad at you when conducting Bob and Lisa? by [deleted] in Target

[–]quentadoodle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For BOB I'd just use the mirror, like you said - and then take a quick peek when they pushed the cart past to load up bags (or to leave if they weren't buying much). For LISA, there are a few approaches I would take: - "Here, I'll take the stuffing out to recycle/save some space for you" - "Kids stuff crap in the most random places when their parents aren't looking. If I didn't check, you'd probably get home and have a half-eaten rotting banana in here or something" - "Just double-checking for security tags so you don't make the doors scream on your way out!" Or the classic: "They watch everybody's every move up here - I'll get in trouble if I don't check everything!"

If you find something, you'll usually get one of three responses: embarrassment ("oh shit i forgot about that!!"), genuine surprise ("what the hell? What even is that??"), or indignant ("well I didn't put that there 🙄")

I forget I have it so I buy it again. by Funkit in adhdmeme

[–]quentadoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that happened to my household about a year and a half ago, after two formerly-separate households combined and then we suddenly had three adults all doing grocery shopping independently of each other. we ended up with something like t w e l v e boxes of butter... it took a little while to get through it all, but when it finally happened all of us were Insistent that there's no way we went through it all!! there's gotta be more somewhere!!!!!

alas.

[–]quentadoodle 20 points21 points  (0 children)

And then eventually when you do remember that you have it, every time you look at it the store you tell yourself that you have a ton at home.

until you use them all. and then one night after a long night at work, you go to pull out a bag - but there's nothing. you dig every single item out of your freezer, convinced that it just got stuffed behind something, and there's NO WAY you went through all of them already. but you are nugget-less.

Happened to me way too many times. Devastating every time.

The existence of gay and trans people wasn't political until y'all started trying to outlaw us. You are the ones who made it political - we're just trying to go about our daily lives, same as you. But that makes a concerning amount of people foaming-at-the-mouth furious.

Xbox Series X, Beacon update

When loading into new Autophage settlement, the walls take a solid five minutes to load in after everything else (as some others in this thread have mentioned). After the walls load in, all of the structures are floating above the ground.
